Vhanja, in the other thread you argued against Johnlock in general. That's ok, but pls do it over there. Thanks

Vhanja was just answering my question... I haven't had a chance to watch any of the show with the audio commentary yet!

I would really like to see the original version "too jealous" for being kept in the show... maybe we´ll get that as a bonus one day?

Was there another version filmed where John is MORE jealous?  I haven't heard about that!

After seeing a Sherlock/Bletchley Circle mashup on this board and mistakenly thinking all the Bletchley gals were played by Sherlock actresses, I decided to give that show a try.  Despite my initial disappointment in the actual cast, I really enjoyed the first three episodes and have converted the rest of the household!  We watched the first three eps last night!

Indeed!  We also have a super-cute chihuahua named Molly!  Oh, and a gorgeous shepherd mix named Sophie...

Congratulations are in order, indeed!
I just had to make a link between 'the falling man' and Moriarty's line of 'falling's just like flying except there's a more permanent destination'.

Thank you!

Whenever I hear that line, I'm reminded of Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently learning to fly by throwing himself at the ground but getting distracted at the last second and forgetting to land.  In my web search to find that passage, I just came across this:

I tried to get my wife interested, but she prefers gaming (SWTOR).  I did manage to get our housemate, Mary, to watch with me, but she isn't as addicted as I am.

You know you're obsessed with Sherlock when... ... You find yourself deducing muddy bootprints on the asphalt.
... Mail from the Janus Fund makes you smile.
... The Irish Setter at the dog park makes you giggle.
... You get irritable when life interferes with your Sherlock plans
... You consider planning your next trip to the UK around the Sherlock shooting schedule.
... You start using another social media platform just to get more news about Sherlock
... Saccharine songs on the radio make you think of Johnlock, and you imagine a whole music video with clips from the show.  ("Hello" by Adele, "Locked Away" by R City ft. Adam Levine, among others)
... You actually consider creating such a video.
... You find excuses to post to this forum to increase your post count so you'll no longer be "Wrong!" ;)

*sigh*  I miss London.   I've only been there once, but I still miss it.

Same here.  I've been there four or five times but often find myself "homesick" for London.  I sometimes say that London is my favorite character on the show! ;)

I don't know about "forever" but I know a website that has snapshots back as far as 2003.

I have been able to read loudest-subtext-in-television's work via the WayBack Machine Internet Archive.  Some of the entries weren't preserved, but you can read most of her work there.  It's a shame she was driven from the fandom.  Here's a master list of her metas:

I need to start taking photos.  Yesterday, I received some literature from my Janus Fund.  Then saw an Irish Setter at the dog park.

I'm a bit late to this party, but it occurs to me that WHATEVER he/they did, it had to be subtle enough to not only fool John, but also fool the assassin lurking nearby.  After all, the signal to cancel the kills (of John, Mrs. Hudson and Lestrade) is Holmes killing himself.  So his suicide had to be convincing to more than just John's viewpoint.

I only meant that they were spoilers to me  Right now I'm more upset about the fact that my avatar was mysteriously changed to a pick-up truck... Whaaaat...?!?  I suspect something went wrong with the image host I used, and the board assigned a new image at random.  Hopefully all fixed now!
