This may have been their dream but I would have hoped for a different ending - if this should be the ending. And the reactions of many viewers and critics alike showed that they were not happy with it.

As far as I'm concerned, that's reason enough for Moffat and Gatiss to bring out one final season before calling it quits on the show  Besides, on top of all that, so many are extremely unhappy with John's violence toward Sherlock on TLD.  I know of one fan who says that John is dead to her because of what he did, and because he didn't apologize or make it up to Sherlock afterward.  That's three times that John has gotten violent toward Sherlock on this TV series.  If nothing else, that particular scene indicates that John has a problem that needs resolving, possibly stemming from his childhood.  There needs to be an episode focusing on him, giving us his back story, and a chance to resolve his issues from his growing-up years and from his time in Afghanistan (plus, I should like to see it become John's turn to be in the hospital, fighting for his life, this time around!).  Another one-shot could be used for that, if another season cannot be produced anytime soon.

I may be the only member of this forum who would like very much to see that done, but surely there are other Sherlock fans out there who would like it, too!

I agree with you absolutely. We didn't get John's backstory to understand his violent outbursts. And I'm also really unhappy, he attacked Sherlock this way and never apologised for this on screen.
Generally I'm disappointed with TFP. There are so many plot holes and missed opportunities. And for me it lacked the spirit of earlier episodes - this wasn't Sherlock as i liked it.

I remember in one fic, John choose names with Sherlock's initials (WSSH) in reverse order. I 'm not sure about the exact names. It was Helene (maybe Hannah) S(mething) S(something) Watson.

I'm happy so many people love Prague, because I'm from Czech republic. At the same time I'm also slightly not disappointed (that's a strong word) maybe sad, there are much more beautiful and interesting places in our country, not only Prague.
We have a lot of castles, beautiful little cities, great nature ...

Good afternoon sherlockians,
Here's a season 4 theory I came up with recently, based on ideas I got from other series and what I'd like to happen (or not to happen).
Basically, the last time I watched HLV, I noticed that as soon as Sherlock realized that there was no vault, he sort of disconnected from reality. He didn't say a word for about five minutes, and that is not just because of Mary's case, he wouldn't care that much about her. Some of you might disagree with this, but we're talking about a "high functionning sociopath", a man who committed a cold-blooded murder.

In my opinion, CAM knew something about Sherlock, something that could make his world fall apart (and we all know about this!) I'm talking about the CAM visit to Baker Street, where he mentions Redbeard. This is the proof that he knows things about Sherlock. He would not have remembered these if he could not use them to blackmail him afterwards, since that's what he does.

Now here's the interesting part: we know that Sherlock has been doing drugs for a long time, and that Mycroft takes care of him when it's the case. We also know that there is/was another Holmes, and that we have not heard from him nor seen him in 3 seasons. Yet, Mycroft mentions him, and the fact that Sherlock is a murderer, in the same conversation. But what does "a murderer" mean, when this word is pronounced by a man who probably had people killed, because it is part of his job at the government? I believe that Sherlock had already killed somebody before (probably the third brother), and he is the only one to know about it. He covered the murder - which was easy for him - because Sherlock was high at the time, and hid it to Sherlock, who was so high he didn't remember anything about it. Though, he knew that something had happened (or else he wouldn't have killed Magnussen).

Finally, this crazy theory explains a scene f

One of my favorite ideas about the Lady in Red is that she is a client that Sherlock failed to save and now she's in his MP helping him figure out how she died.

I have a similar idea. There's a theory, she is actually Frances Carfax. Originally I wasn't sure about this, but in the light of recent events: what if MP Frances is helping to solve her own abduction?
(It also looks like Sherlock  - again, escaped in serious condition from ambulance/medical care - kidnapping is more urgent bussines to solve)

Ben and Sophie are a nice couple and have a lovely son.
Anyone thinking they are expecting again?
I'm not sure, her face is still so slim.

It would be nice. And slim face isn't a good indicator. With my second child, I lost a lot of weight in the first trimester ( I wasn't exactly sick, but didn't have much apetite either) only in the second half of the pregnycy I finally started to gain weight. (my first pregnancy was a complete opposite)

Well for me it doesn't matter how Sherlock faked his death, he just did.

Oh, Steven would be quite proud of you. That's exactly how he goes about so many things these days, especially in Doctor Who. "It's the Doctor, get over it!" is basically the explanation to everything. "It's Sherlock, he faked his death, get over it!" works just as well.

I must agree. It's not important how he did it, despite all the speculations it never was, only as John had said: why?
Personally I believe the third explanation is technically true, but the circumstances are not. Sherlock told Anderson, it was well planned and prepared in advance and I think, this is a lie. It was desperate, last minute (okay last hours) action.

There's only one situation, when the question "How?" will be important - if Moriarty is really alive and faked his suicide too!

It seems to me like creating a drama, where is none. Some people apparently don't have better things to do (like buying shoes or helping other people). Idiots!

I'm really glad I'm here now... I recommended Sherlock to my friends and tried to make them watching Sherlock too ( because they have to), but it seems it doesn't work...

Don't give up! It took me two years to convince my husband to watch the first episode, finally! He was suspicious about the modernization (we all know, how they do it in Hollywood) but now is amazed.
And welcome!

I visited CZ in 2000, and loved Prague, but I adored Cesky Krumlov. It's probably another frightfully common tourist destination? I also visited the Sedlec Ossuary which was very interesting (and slightly creepy!). Would love to have seen more of your country. In case I ever get over there again, which places do you recommend?

Sedlec and Cesky Krumlov are great. I can also recommend South Moravia, there are famous vineyards and vine cellars and many beautiful castles. Most remarkable is area between Lednice castle and Valtice castle, it's full of small decorative buildings like antique temple, gothic chapel or romantic minaret.
If you want something less famous but beatiful, I must recommend one place in East Bohemia, it's called Kuks - there are remains of gret copmlex of buildings from 18'th century. Now there is only a baroque hospital, church and plenity of magnificent alegoric statues, some in the hospital some in  near forest - this area is called Bethlehem.
When I was uni student, I worked here as a guide as a summer job and I love this place.
There are many many more - it depends if you prefer nature or history.

I just finished reading Consolation by Mildredandbobbin, and I have to recommend it to everyone who likes deep, emotional, well-written romantic slash - and guess what, it's not Johnlock! It's the first Sherstrade fic I have read and been totally on board with (after getting over the hurdle of John being happily married to a lovely Mary; it was written pre-S3, so it's not the Mary we know from the series). I can actually ship Greg and Sherlock after this, although I don't know if any other fics will convince me as well as this one (the only other one I can think of was actually an OT3-some). I really love Greg in this story, he is wonderful, completely in character and indeed more fleshed-out than on the show. Sherlock's character is perfectly captured too.

Read it here http://archiveofourown.org/works/626177

Yes, this is an excellent story. I'm not much fan of Sherstrade, but this makes sense. Great.

It's far from perfect, but they're still together. I believe the main crisis is over them, but I don't imagine John's and Sherlock's relationship (or my own marriage) after 35 years this way.

At least in the scene where we see them first - dark coat, collar up - and brown jacket, chequered shirt...

I sound's so hopefully, but I'm short, brown eyed, and definitely not genius :-(

And you know what's funny? My mum doesn't even know this series exist and dad don't like it (he watched only one episode on our local TV channel - HoB, and said it's rubbish, he prefers Elementary :-( )
I'm more succesfull with my husband, he wanted some good TV shows to improve his english, so I highly recommended this. He watched ASiP last week and was impressed.
