His Last Vow » Drugs: Do you believe Sherlock? » January 22, 2014 9:08 pm

Who says that he takes drugs to stimulate his brain? Isn't the point that without the drugs it is out of control. So perhaps the drugs are actually used to slow it down a little bit, make the boredom more bearable.

I agree, mostly, with this.  If you've got a brain that won't shut up, sometimes you'll do anything to make it shut up.  Plus there are studdies that I've read, PRIOR TO THIS EPISODE, that show that the smarter people are, the more likely they are to do drugs.

Besides.  Remember later, when John is in Sherlock's appartment, asking why Mary is "like that?"  Then Sherlock points out that he's addicted to a certain type of person. And he points out everyone's "secrets," and says something like (I"m paraphrasing) "Your best friend is a sociopath who solves crimes as an alternitive to getting high."

I think it's real.  I like it.  It makes him more human.

His Last Vow » Mycroft's admission of Sherlock's importance » January 22, 2014 8:57 pm

I think it was just said so that it set up the foudation for you, the watcher, to understand how he feels about having to punnish his brother.  So when we see that he sends Sherlock off, we know it's killing him to do so. That shows just how SERIOUS he takes his posission.

I did enjoy the fact that this season had A LOT more Mycroft inneraction in it.

This is just something I've been pondering-- why is it  that we (in this culture, at this time in history) seem to think that the presence of  genius neccesitates either mental illness or some sort of diagnosible disabillity?

Is there no room for "different" in this culture?  I fear to think how Leonardo Da Vinci would have fared.

Just a thought.

Autisim is not "mental illness."  It's a trade off.

Oi! How's it going?  A ramble is okay, from time to time.  It helps clear things up, occasionally.  Have a good time.

Yea, that's a bit ridiculous.  My friends and I, male and female, do not hesitate to say I love you.

Cool.  I'm happy that you have such good friends.

It's a shame not all people are that open about how they feel.  I wish more people were.

DAMNIT!  I do NOT have the time required to read all of this.  But as a chick WITH the Aspies (sounds like an award that way, don't you think?) I want to come back to this tonight after work.  DEAR SELF: PLEASE READ THIS THREAD.

Exactly and the writers have said they are not going to write Johnlock.

  Besley.....I'm with you.

Look, other person whos name I cannot see, and therfore cannot write it down:  If YOUR John and Sherlock are closeted...Cool.  You enjoy that.  Since, again, they are not real humans, they won't have any problems with you thinking that.  And just as you are entitled to beleive that, we are entitled to believe they are just super close homies.

This is kind of the same thing as arguing weither or not unicorns are lactose intolorant.  Since they aren't real, we won't have a real answer.  OTHER THAN THE ONE the creators have made...which is:Nope.

But these aren't real humans.  Therefore they are not subjectable to REAL human traits.  They are subjectable to however the writters want them to be.

The Empty Hearse » The Bonfire & the Terrorist Plot » January 12, 2014 7:11 pm

I found the whole thing to be rather forced, in order to provide some sort of "action" to an "emotional" episode. I mean, it will play some part of something in the future, I'm sure.  But within the context it was written, it just seemed forced.

Look...the fact that Sherlock is alone is IN PART because of his own doing.  The other is because he's not met a person who can meet his"special needs."  He will need something different from the norm, because it would surprise him.  So enter John.  John provides a type of PURELY FRIENDLY love that is his own unique brand.  He fills the duties of "best friend," & "caretaker."  He's also a bit of an interpreter for Sherlock. He does all of this because JOHN HIMSELF is, at his core, a man of love. As we've seen, overtime, Sherlock learns to like it. Then comes to NEED it. And due to the fact that all if this is a new way to love altogether, we don't know what label it falls under.  You've not seen two men be that close of friends before...so......Lovers?  Yes.  Lovers.  They must be.  It's the only reason why two men would openly express their fondness of one another.  Right?  Nope.  Isn't it just possible that the reason their love isn't normal is because it ISN'T NORMAL. And is that wrong?  No.  They are just a couple of dudes who like to openly express their fondness for eachother.  Just because something isn't macho, doesn't mean it's automatically gay.  Not that there is anything wrong with Macho, gay, or anything in between. We live in a world where if I told you I hate you, you'd really not thing too long or hard about it.  But if I told you I loved you, you would think I was weird.  I once told a female friend of mine that I loved her.  Just in the same way I'd tell, say, my mother.  Since then she's always thought I was a little gay.  OMG!  I tell all my friends I love them.  People just don't know how to handle love when it's not in the prescribed way.

p.s. i can't spell.

Hahaha. I always thought it'd be a great name for a horse. Like a big Frisian gelding or a draft horse.

I've not got any reall knowledge on horses.  I'll have to google those breeds.  Is there a reason you'd perfer a large horse?

Here's my Mycroft:
