Hi everyone :D
I'm not sure if I got that correctly, I'm not very into the marvel universe...but am I right that this was the first encounter between Stark and Dr Strange? In all their scenes together I was waiting for a Sherlock / Sherlock Holmes reference any second but...I could not find any clear ones, beside the one SusiGo already mentioned
The only thing I'm not sure about is one line, that (in German) was something like "we're on the final level now" shortly after Dr Strange gave the stone away... did anyone see the movie in OV and might the line actually have been "the game is afoot"? I thought the lip movement would have fitted. But maybe that's just me😂

(PS, haven't been online in a while, it's nice to know you're still there and sherlocked as ever ;) ! )

Hey!
I know your situation quite well :D
This forum here was the first place where I got in touch with reaaaaaaally nice fellow Sherlockians. And it's always the place where I go back to if I need information.  You've certainly come to the right place!

As for other ways to meet fans....tumblr always works ;)
And on Instagram are also a lot of young people blogging about Sherlock . They're often happy to talk to others!

Good luck!!

I don't think there will be some kind of end. Mofftiss are always very keen on paying tribute to the original stories and I think they won't turn the storyline of Sherlock into something that provides an end in terms of *there is no possibility to go on*.
IMO it's more likely that they just widen the gaps between the series as sj4iy already said.
And I think the cliffhangers help to keep people interested in the show.  Viewers think about possible solutions and when they are advertising the new series (maybe even more than two years later) they will remember the cliffhanger and watch the episode to see how they solved it. So I doubt that there will be much less viewers.

There was a AMA on reddit some time ago where he was asked (....got asked?) for his favourite songs.
His answer:

At the moment:
MS by Alt-J
Strong by London Grammar
Pretty much all of Sigur Ros' Valtari album
One day like this - Elbow
Fever to the Form - Nick Malvey
Two Fingers - Jake Bugg
I'm rubbish at counting, and favorites.

Ah, didn't know that.  Yes that's possible.

I think they simply use it as a running gag for those who get the reference to the first joke about it (it was in aSiB, was it?).
If you mean that there could be any deeper meaning...I don't really think so.

I find it funny but IMO it shouldn't become as big as the 'gay' joke.

Wasn't that something Moriarty said?
I'm not really well informed about that, but aren't all news about a christmas SHERLOCK ep based on ONE article?
I fear we can't really expect SHERLOCK to return at christmas...
Anyway, thanks for posting it, Boss. ;)

Thanks from me too!

I think this shows how casual Mary is.
Someone who really hurt John suddenly shows up, destroys the wedding proposal and thinks (or pretends to think...) he would be funny.
And this very evening she tells Sherlock she'd talk to John, tells John she'd like Sherlock and later she jokes about John shaving off his moustache,
I mean, I didn't really expect her to be angry about Sherlock but I was a bit surprised how relaxed she actually was about all that.

Hello Sirius, Welcome!

I understand your wish, but I fear that without breaks between shooting SHERLOCK actors and Mofftiss might get a bit tired of it...
With two years between shooting they're able to think more carefully about the eps and make everything perfect.

Anyway, welcome and have fun!

Not sure if it can be interpreted that way, but since TEH 'Bonfire Heart' has a completely new meaning to me.

I can't believe it either.
We waited so long and now it's already over.
But then, over?
We got three and a half new episodes, a lot to talk about, anoyher fake death to discuss and we are able to watch nine Sherlock eps in a row. (Eleven, if you count pilot and MHR).
And we know there'll be more.
Sherlock’s back, solving crimes with John,  Mary's still alive (so is Moriarty^^).
Wat was that what Sherlock said? "The wheel keeps turning"? Something like that?
How appropriate.  ;)
I'm happy with series three and looking forward to series four.
