I don't think he'll get married either. I think Sherlock and John will be invited to a wedding, and there'll be some kind of mystery they have to solve

But...here's what has been bothering me. In the canon, Holmes survives the Reichenbach Falls how? BECAUSE HE WAS NEVER IN THE FALLS... He made people believe he had gone over with Moriarty, but he actually scampers up a cliff face and disappears over the hills into Switzerland (oh, wait, that was "Sound of Music").

Would Moftiss make this great of a departure from the original story? Guess so, 'cause I do still believe Sherlock jumped. It does bother me though.

I think so; the fact that he was 'never in the falls' can be countered with the fact that he WAS AT THE FALLS. The area is called 'The Reichenbach Falls'.
Geez, I hope he doesn't marry an ex-nun ........

While reading through the theories, this stuck out to me, and an absurd thought popped into my head. What if Sherlock wasn't actually on top of that building when he supposedly jumped? How was he able to get down to quickly to watch people attend to his 'body'? What if he was able to make it appear that he fell (a dummy, or a cadaver that Molley gave him with the same build as him), and in the moments that John is distracted, he lays down in the cadavers place on the pavement? Of course, he was standing on the building when he phoned John, but maybe, in John's disorientation, he missed seeing Sherlock do something. For example, someone in a car, someone that he knew, drove past, and he momentarily looked at it, taking his eyes off 'Sherlock', thereby not noticing 'Sherlock' grab the cadaver and hold it in his place. What if  Sherlock and Moriaty were actually on top of another building, and the footage of him falling was of someone else pushing the cadaver off the building that John believes Sherlock is standing on? This would give Sherlock (who is actually in another building) enough time to leave and be able to watch people attend to his 'body'.
Now, you might think: 'but that was Sherlock's body on the pavement!'. Well, yes, it was. Somebody wh

Latest News » Mark Gatiss on future of Sherlock » April 11, 2013 2:13 pm

Wow. That would be pretty cool. I wiould love to see it happen, but I don't think it will, only because Benedict and Martin are pretty popular actors at the moment, and would most likely want to move on to other things. Hopefully they can do this simultaneously while still filming Sherlock! Maybe it could be like Dr. Who and go on forever, however have the same characters throughout each series. Who knows?

The Reichenbach Fall » Why not Molly? » April 8, 2013 7:28 am

I agree with most theories here, and I believe Sherlock doesn't think Molly counts because he doesn't see her the same way that she sees him. She is just there, in his life, and appart from her awkwardness around him, and the fact Sherlock doesn't notice her effort with her appearance at the Christmas Party, suggests he doesn't care about her enough to notice her. This doesn't mean that he wont care about her more in the future. But it does mean that he wouldn't think of her as potential targets.

Reichenbach Theories » Right so the truck theory... » April 4, 2013 8:47 am

I believe that somehow Mycroft and Anthea were involved. They had to be. They're sneaky and suspicious. Plus Mycroft knows pretty much everything about Sherlock, and he's sly. Mycroft, Anthea and Sherlock teamed up to fake Sherlocks death. It's some kind of cover up...

Reichenbach Theories » Truck is leaving... TWICE! Hopefully the missing piece for a theory » April 4, 2013 7:40 am

I think the question we should be asking is who is driving the truck? Is it Mycroft? Or a new character that will be introduced in the third series?

Character Analysis » Sherlock and drug use? » April 1, 2013 2:18 pm

I think drugs are used in the series as a link to Arthur Conan Doyle's personal experience with them, as his father was committed for alcoholism. Moffat is probably trying to make another connection to the original story.

Character Analysis » Discussions on the John and Sherlock relationship » April 1, 2013 2:03 pm

I'm not sure about their relationship. Martin Freeman himself described it as the 'gayest story in the history of television'. I guess when it was written it was more sociably acceptable for men to have many male friends, and now people just assume it's gay. I think the show is explain their complex relationship, but people nowadays are more aware of sexuality, so instantly assume things are either gay or heterosexual.
