Hey all!

So I came here to recommend this amazing show I'm watching, but I thought I'd also ask for help since we're nearing the end of the season.

Eyewitness is a crime show which features two gay guys as leads. It's really groundbreaking the way it's done and because of the themes it touches - aside from the super compelling thriller at the foundation, it talks about foster parenting, addiction, family love, and of course the beautiful love story between the 2 protagonists Lukas and Philip -Lukas is a very closeted boy in small town America so you really see his struggles and his journey of self acceptance.
Also, Eyewitness features a lot of female characters who are super strong and empowered and passes the Bechdel test with flying colours!

Unfortunately, it's not well marketed by the Network and it risks not being renewed.  Not many people want to watch 2 boys kissing unfortunately, and it should not be that way. It would be a shame if Eyewitness got cancelled.

So I am here to say - if you live in the US and have cable (or a way to access it even on the app) - could you give this show a chance?

It's on TONIGHT (SUNDAY) AT 10/9C on USA Network. If you could tune in that would be great!! If the ratings go up the show will have the second season it deserves,

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Thank you!!!

I just noticed something about the second outfit worn by Martin yesterday during the bus scenes: It is exactly the same or at least a very similar outfit to the one he wore when John takes the tube at the beginning of TEH. Coat, jeans, shirt, shoes - just the scarf is missing, probably because yesterday's scenes were not set in November.
I think these are the only times he is taking public transport in the show - and both times in the same outfit.

maybe he has a 'public transport' outfit that he wears for the occasion

no, he wasn't. The guy at the window is the guy in the cream suit that was seen in the scenes shot in Wales and mistaken for Martin (from the back). Definitely not Toby Jones.

I wonder if this lady in red is the new Watson at Sherlock´s side.
John is with Mary now, so maybe Harry Watson is taking his place? BBC Sherlock goes Elementary?

And poor Sherlock definitely collapses there at the bridge. Very ill indeed.

I am practically 99% sure that while that is going down, John is coming out of 221b frantically with phone in hand (scene shot on Sunday) looking for Sherlock/going to him.

Gosh, I'm so glad you liked it! And thank you so much for your wonderful comment - and additional comment on ao3! You're so lovely!

I had fun writing this. As I said I am not great at casefics but I enjoyed the challenge as it gave the chance to try something new! And your prompts were tricky but in a good way, made my brain work. haha.

again thanks so much for your comment! I feel so undeserving! *mwah*

omg, more than one fic with Nakahara's prompt?? Exciting!! Here's mine - I'm curious to read how others have interpreted it!!

Dear Nakahara,
this is officially my first attempt at a case fic! I hope it came out as fan and fairly believable, hehe. Of course, readers, I think you need to suspend your disbelief somehow as I did research but I am really not an expect as to police procedures etc.

Also, please note - my fic mentions suicide, so if anyone of you finds that kind of matter as triggering, you may not want to read (of course Nakahara, I hope this is not the case for you, if it is, I'm sorry!)
There's no gore though. A little bit of angst, and Johnlock - you can place the story anywhere in the timeline you want, but they just recently got together so there's no Mary, nor mentions of Reichenbach or anything like that.

I hope you enjoy, and please forgive me any mistakes..It's also posted on my AO3 here

Prompt was:
Wine, Westminster Bridge, Elgin Marbles, Violin, Chemistry, with no Awesome-Mary or Sherlock suffering and either Johnlock or deep friendship

Nakahara - I gifted it to you on AO3, I guessed your username as I didn't have it, hope I got the right account! )

At one in the morning, on a Saturday night

The way onlookers had described the jump, there had been no hesitation, or doubt. Alexander Danailov had just quickly, quietly, coldly climbed the fence of Westminster Bridge at one in the morning on the 28th of a freezing December and thrown himself off, and into the murky, unforgiving waters of the Thames.
Sherlock watched Lestrade give instructions to his officers about where to place the barriers, watched him scratch the back of his head with the look on his face he always had whe

I think it's an affectionate joke - the idea that instead of modern Sherlock using a Victorian mind palace to solve the case, it could have been the other way round, with Victorian Sherlock imagining the modern one.  I think Moftiss are a bit in love with Victorian as well as modern Sherlock.

I agree.

To Schmiezi 😉

Ah yes, it was once again some wonderful weeks (and a few stressful ones before) and I still have three stories left to read.
Many thanks again to Schmiezi for organizing this event again, I suppose it is a lot of effort especially with a job and a toddler to take care of as well. So if you need any assistance next time, feel free to ask here.

I would like to thank everybody who gave so nice comments and positive feedback to my story, that means a lot to me.

And of course now directly many many thanks at Dorothy83 for my wonderful story. I was in Lego store yesterday and saw a construction kit for a dragon, I instantly had to think of the story

You are so sweet. It was my pleasure. Thanks for the inspiring prompts!!

A couple more reviews from me:

Jam Tomorrow

I adore any story with Victor Trevor, and with this one, I just couldn't stop reading. I loved the structure, the changes between present and what happened in Sherlock's past. I loved his worry about his meal with John. The whole story was tender and sad and romantic, and so well written.

Mammals

I have a soft spot for parentLock, I admit, and I loved the 'diary' set up of this story, and the humour, and Sherlock almost inadventently being amazing with little Jasmine. So well written, and original. I just loved it.

Sorry.

I am really annoyed right now - with myself for messing up again and with the fact that I need to post the jokes at all. It takes so much time. I wish I simply had the last fics to post. :-(

I won't have time to repair it until tomorrow. Sorry. :-(((

Please don't be annoyed, and don't worry about it. I know you care about this exchange but you shouldn't stress too much about - we understand and we all think you did an amazing job. xx

The Advent Calendar

I loved this story. It humorous and well written, but I was most of all impressed by was the author's clear vision and description of Sherlock's mind palace. So fascinating! And the case... so detailed and well thought out, and that's one of the most difficult things to do. And woven in with that, the reference to Sherlock's 'coldness', and John disapproving of it.
As I was reading I wound myself thinking this story could totally be a fantastic plot for the actual show - I wish they'd gone for something like this instead of the Victorian!

Well done, author!

Finally found the time for some comments...

God Rest You, Dr. Watson

Such a sweet story! Poor John - although I enjoyed imagining Mycroft helping carry him (and the shopping) - awfully nice of him! And I also enjoyed thinking of Sherlock investigating the case of a missing husky!

(The Tunalock story - I *love* that Shrlock is a 'beautiful slender tuna'  and OMG MYCROFT IS AN OCTOPUS I am dead hahah. SUCH a cute story!)

A Singular Gentleman

Such an interesting and original story.  I liked the novelty of it, and how the characters were depicted in this universe - and the fact that they were still very much 'them' despite the totally different circumstances. I also have a weak spot for the writing and the language used....very nice.
