Hallöchen :-)!

Welcome to the forum, Moonatic! Which area in Germany are you from? Do you have English advanced courses? Well, I hope you'll enjoy hanging around and taking part in our discussions.
By the way, comma placement in English is a mystery to me as well ...

Any evidence for that???

When Sherlock was tortured in Serbian dungeon, his whole back was wet with blood after he was viciously beaten up. I can´t believe this didn´t leave any scars.

Some of Sherlock´s nervous and distracted behaviour (hearing voices in TEH, the glasses falling from his hands and his mind palace visions being overhelming so much so that he has to stop them with self-administered slaps in TSOT etc.) is in such contrast with his former cool and controlled conduct that it could possibly be a result of PTSB. But it´s just my theory - therefore I use the world "probably" in my original post.

Physical scars, yes. Mental scars, well, I doubt. The scenarios you're alluding to don't seem out of behaviour that much to me. Hearing John's voice in TEH seems completely in character to me, becuase unconsciously he misses John, but feels his presence absntmindedly. I think the other scenarios you're mentioning go into a similar direction.

About John's "weird" behaviour (I didn't refer "nasty" to any of the members here, by the way, it just seems common sense among most of the users here). Well, I can totally understand John: He loves Mary - and there's no much more to say about that, as far as I am concerned. I know that most of the users don't share this opinion and I don't want to open another discussion about John and Mary here either, but to me John's behaviour is clear and I'm ok with it.

Excellent idea, this thread!
- One of my cats purring on my lap makes me feel happy. I call that "cattherapy".
- Sunrise or sunset on hills; I can see it from my window and admire it everyday.
- Being successful with the level XXX of a game. A little achievement, useless maybe, but an achievement, though. And any achievement in general -better if useful.
- Watching a good serie and being hooked.
- Apart that: my family, friends, job, wage... Holidays when possible.

Cattherapy almost always works, doesn't it?

I've got some 'good news' too... 2 weeks ago I wrote a long email to the Barbican thanking everyone for the experience I had, from the man in the box office, the girl who sold me the program of and obviously the Hamlet cast... I sort of poured out my heart in the middle of the night about what getting my ticket last year meant to me, and what seeing the play had done for me... (of course skipping the most gorey details)

Yesterday I got a reply back, what I wasn't expecting at all... and apparently the lady is going to forward my message to 'everyone involved'.

I'm not dilusional and think that Ben is going to read it even... but in a way this makes me feel a lot better about not even trying for an autograph.

I am so used to writing complaints, lol.

Wow, this is really nice!!! First you giving this wonderful feedback and them replying! So everyone's happy :-)!

To be honest I don't understand John being blamed for his nasty behaviour towards Sherlock. What kind of nasty behaviour??? John thought his best friend was DEAD and suddenly he reappears and behaves as if everything's alright with this. Ok, it's Sherlock, he obviously had no idea what this faked suicide did to John, but nevertheless ... I think John has got all the right in the world to NOT forget that. Sure, he forgives Sherlock, finally, but that doesn't mean he forgets.

Do you have any relaxing CDs, Phantom? I've got a few at home, even copied them to my ipod. It's not only music, it's a voice leading you through a wood or along a beach and you can also hear birds twittering or waves crushing ... It's wonderful and mostly I fall a sleep after 15 minutes. Even if I can't sleep the voice calms me down.

It all makes sense if Sherlock is lying.

Do you think he is?

Yeah, this is really fascinating! But do we exactly know what was Sherlock referring to? Maybe he only realized that something was wrong with her - well, but what was/is it at this very first deduction?

Hello!
Although being quite new in the fandom I think I can understand you obsession a bit. Things haven't turned out in series 3 as you might have wished. I've read a lot of comments recently that include a litlle disappointment when it comes to  the relation between Sherlock and John in S3. Well, on the one hand I can understand this, but on the other hand I'm very glad of the character development we are presented in S3. It was necessary to show that Sherlock and John have moved on after Sherlock's 2 years' absence. They couldn't go on the same way after Sherlock's fall and faked death.
And I do think that Sherlock and John are closer now than they were before! Sherlock was John's best man, held a marvellous speech on the wedding, makes a vow to never ever leave John and Mary,(and even proves it by killing Magnussen!), gosh, they're closer than ever, although John's married now. So what makes you believe they are "drifting apart"?
Well, and if you sense that you're too entwined in the show/Fandom, I think the only way to cure yourself is to stay away fom everything that has to do with Sherlock COMPLETELY.

Hi, and welcome to the forum! May I ask where you are from?
And what exactly troubles you with John's characterization?
