It's really interesting seeing that screencap.... It makes me wonder. Her liking Sherlock doesn't surprise me at all, to be honest. I feel like her character came of really naturally. She's a good balance for for John.

To be honest, I was initially under the impression that the whole thing was a hallucination what with Sherlock's dissapearance being so... sudden. I'm still not for sure. But is anyone, really? I just hope Anderson doesn't completely lose it.

I am on the Paul Bettany bandwagon! Or Eddie Izzard. He played a wonderful John Silver in Treasure Island. I would also love to see Alexander Vlahos! :-)

Goodness, I don't know what my favorite is for sure, but Five Orange Pips always stood out to me merely because it terrified me when I first read it- I was about 13 years old, and it was one pm.

Also, The Dying Detective never fails to vastly amusing me due to it's conclusion.

The Reichenbach Fall » Sherlock throwing his phone » August 27, 2013 11:34 pm

This may be a stupid topic, but I've always wondered why Sherlock threw his phone after talking to John. It could very well have been for dramatic effect, but I can't help but wonder- because what else can I do while waiting for season three?- if Sherlock meant to break his phone. Or at least have it on the roof, rather than under it along with his body,

Like, there was something secret he didn't want anyone to see. Maybe when he was having his 'moment alone' he was alerting Mycroft or Molly, and didn't want the police to see that and therefore, put one of the two in suspicion. Or it could have been someone or something entirely different, something he had on his phone. Or maybe he threw that phone on the roof so that it could be collected when Moriarty's body was.

I don't know why, I just always thought it odd that he threw his phone onto the roof.

Anyways, theories? Comments? Wondering if I'm too stupid to be on this forum?

So I have seen a lot of discussion regarding Moriarty after TRF. Whether he hasn't actually died, or if Sherlock threw his body off the roof in his place. But I have an entirely different question.

Providing that Moriary's body stayed where it was when he shot himself, it will no doubt be found soon after Sherlock's 'body'. Sherlock actually threw his phone onto his roof, so maybe Moriarty will have been discovered while collecting Sherlock's phone for evidence. What are we to believe that other characters in the show are going to think when finding that Moriarty has died along with Sherlock? Will they think that Sherlock killed him? Or because Moriarty was holding the gun, will it be assumed that Sherlock forced him to kill himself? OR will they think that Sherlock and Moriarty were involved in some sort of suicide pact?

Another thing is, the newspaper simply mentions the death of a fake genious. There is no headline or picture indicating the death of a criminal mastermind. Moriarty was high-profile at that point. If he died along with Sherlock, they both would have gotten press, especially having died together- unless his body was never found. In which case, maybe we ought to suspect Molly or Moran. I mean, logically it would have been very suspicous both Moriarty and Sherlock having commited suicide, but that was never mentioned.

Thoughts?

I feel as if His Last Vow could pertain to many things. Seeing as one makes a vow in marriage, I wonder if they won't get married until episode three, and Mary will die on her wedding day.
Or a villain is dying and makes some vow on his deathbead.
Or it's something super random and unexpected, such as Lestrade or Mycroft being killed off and vowing something before death.
I've come up with a myriad of options.

Everyone is posting these beautiful songs, and I'm just imagining the Despicable Me theme song playing in the background while Moriarty strolls through town.

Reading this I was reminded of the incident in SiB where Sherlock could not solve a case and he got angry when John put it in his blog. Obviously he didn't want the public to be aware of the fact that he failed. Therefore, perhaps he cares what people think of his intelligence, but not really anything else?

My two cents, if it really matters.

I decided to show an episode to my step sister and we ended up watching all six episodes in two days. Needless to say, she is now just as obsessed as I am.

"The name's Sherlock homes and the address is 221b baker street." *Wink*. Obviously the best part of this quote is the wink....

"I always hear punch me in the face when you're talking, but it's usually subtext."

Hello everyone! I'm a longtime lurker of this website, and I figured that I ought to join it finally. I was hesitant for a while as my intellect does not match that of the majority of these posters. (There are a whole lot of Sherlocks on this forum, :-) )
Anywho, greetings to all!

There isn't too much more to say, there will be plenty of time to ramble later on. This is a Sherlock forum after all.
