The Final Problem » What is real in TFP? » February 14, 2017 11:36 pm

This is why I can't really talk about Sherlock S04 anymore.
I think T6T was the story Sherlock imagined he would tell Ella in order to work out how to help John - but I don't think what we saw was what really happened at all!

As for TFP it's laughable to me that anyone would accept even as tv reality that Sherlocks whole family failed to mention or talk about their daughter Eurus and failed to notice Sherlock thought she was a dog for decades. Not to mention another forgotten murdered child!

Sorry that whole idea is absolutely abhorrent to me , my young brother was murdered and I and my family remember him every single day!

So sadly despite being a huge fan and thinking 10 episodes were masterpieces, the only way for me with S04 is that's not what happened at all.
Whatever the F they did. Big fail.

Five years old child had not a characteristics of adult Sherlock yet. Adult Sherlock wants things to be clever because he is bored - but as a child, he was amusing himself playing pirates, he was obviously never bored and so didn´t have this motive for his actions yet.

Also, Eurus coded song was obviously not easy. It required the knowledge of advanced cryptopgraphy based on words hidden on gravestones, Latin codes and numbers, all combined.

Saying that five years Sherlock is to blame for the demise of his friend is quite cruel in this regard.

Yes. Obviously nothing was Sherlocks fault. I simply attempt to explain nobody (especially the Holmes )  looking for Victor in the near by well. Which is stupid.
Actually I sort of think it's odd to blame Eurus too when she was only 6 or 7, although whatever happened to her after certainly must have added to the monstrous turn she took.

Yes. That works whichever way you interpret,  Eurus as Sherlocks inner demons or real or John as Sherlocks whatever.

To add to this , I wonder if Sherlock had added sentiment to his deductions ,if jumping off Barts and faking his death and breaking John, would ever have been a possibility. I really doubt it.
Mary sort of got it right and showed Sherlock the way to love John - I would never do that ( break John ).

It bothered me that TFP was called TFP but wasn't really about the canon Final Problem , Sherlock faking his death and breaking John, but now in a way I think It is. The locked room memory / mystery that is Sherlock Moriarty told us the answer to and Eurus enforced is he wanted to be clever , but the real solution to TFP and TRF seems to be, be more sentimental.

Maybe B.C. love conquers all was rightl

The Final Problem » Dr. Watson's deduction » January 24, 2017 8:35 pm

John has always made excellent deductions about the Holmes , from his first blog Sherlock is charming, addictive and he ( John ) is utterly hooked and  he (Sherlock ) might be gay to  : someone deduced you wouldn't tell the truth unless you were wetting yourself . Ha John !

Yes. Sherlock is completed as a great and good man by adding sentiment to his deductions and as a human being by a romantic attachment to John.

Remember John lost Sherlock in TRF. Or thought he did.
Which is made more wierd considering TFP.

I think there will at least be  specials now and then . Everyone is very involved with supporting and loyal to the BBC which has been under threat.

Also think they will want to answer the criticism.

An end for now maybe which is obviously because of Rosie. Willing to bet we get specials and more eventually.
ACD bring back Holmes rerun and return.

I think Canon Johns twenty five plus years with Sherlock may have a bit more weight than the Victorian house wife . But  .

Exciting idea for a 14th!. I think there will be more . Simply because this happens after every series.

Grief and guilt after death is not relatable to the marriage being happy.
Guilt more to the opposite.

John was texting with first lady that smiled at him. Marys ghost was the manifestation of Johns guilt and not having talked to her about - he was unhappy and wanted more (than Mary) and still did. The moment he confessed to her ( harsh I thought ) she left.
John didn't even trust Mary to be truthful in T6T but planned for Sherlock to confront her alone and slip her a tracking device.

What is your evidence they were happy ?

Most everything Johnlock theory proposed was true or happened in the main. John unhappy marriage,  struggling with feelings for each other and addressing them , Mary gone , & parentlock.

I am starting to think it was maybe Johns drugged death dream in the way TAB was Sherlocks.
We did see him shot with a gun and the last thing he heard was did you ever imagine Sherlock had a secret sister and we know he is a horror fan from the Omen v Exorcist conversation.

Not to mention John is a James Bond fan as well...

I feel that the three episodes of Series 4 were all told from different people's perspectives and none of them were 100% real. If (big if) there is a fourth episode, then the most logical plot would be an account of the real sequence of events that occurred throughout the previous three episodes.

I don't know anything about a 4th episode , but I love you was also the code word Moneypenny gave Bond so he wouldn't forget it.
