That little detail broke my heart... it said a lot about him; under duress he's still has his dignity. 

 

No matter what you want to call it, Mycroft understands how much Sherlock and John mean to each other and that Sherlock would be lost without John.

They must have gotten it right from the very first time. I still can't believe the coffin looked solid enough and yet Ben actually broke it! Also, all the splinters flying around! Man! That was a stunt!

I don't know how to quote two different comments... I wanted to say that I loved how Mycroft "volunteered" to be shot by Sherlock. Whether he ships Johnlock or not, he knows how badly losing a best friend affected Sherlock the last time. Mycroft made a lot of mistakes, but we can say he's a good big brother.

I didn't notice the hat - that's wonderful!   And yes, Mycroft giving up his life to stop Sherlock losing his best friend again - wow!
