Weirdness, please don't hunt for this leftie/rightie thing! It will drive you crazy, especially, since there are some absolutely glaring continuity clunkers: For example, this scene with the crown jewels: When we see Moriarty 'live' doing his thing with the writing on the glass with the diamond, he uses one hand (can't remember, which), but when Sherlock sees the surveillance video with Moriarty making the inscription, he uses his OTHER hand! That lead me to all kinds of crazy theories. I still can't believe, how a clunker like that slipped by them, in a show, where everybody and his grandma hunts for clues. Only, when I read somewhere, that Andrew is ambidextral I gave up on my theories, lol!

It's funny, how tv and movies mess with the height of people. I always pictured Andrew and Louise as being more on the tiny side. And Martin Freeman, too. He plays a hobbit very convincingly, after all. But Benedict I always pictured as slim and tall. Like Smaug, the Tyrannical  . Too bad for you, those two weren't there, too. But I guess, they are too busy and important these days. But, I think, they were there at the preview of TEH, right?

Lol! Why would Lestrade be orange in the next season? Glad to hear, Rupert Gates is charming. After Sherlock and John, Lestrade is my third favorite character.

And what about Andrew Scott? I read somewhere, that he is ambidextral... which let me to all kinds of wild speculation two years ago, that there must be Moriarty twins, lol, since he used to switch hands, when doing certain things, but I've since seen, that he does that in other roles, he plaid, too.

ozma, don't blow up just yet, lol! We need more inside info: Is Rupert Gates as attractive as he looks as Lestrade? I fell in love with him during 'The Drug Bust'.

I'm absolutely intrigued now. I prepare myself to be heartbroken, but I wasn't exactly a fan of the first two episodes. As good as they were, It seemed... inadequate somehow after the dark and riddled TRF. Moriarty gave us a 'teeny glimpse' of the big, bad world out there. This had to be picked up on eventually.  And, whatever rift there will be between John and Sherlock, it can't be forever. That's one thing, I'm confident about....
Looking forward to Lars Mikkelsen.  They really just HAD to come up with the real formidable villain.

Hera, what you say about the potential audience in Germany, is correct, but it doesn't help, that it takes half a year, until they finally air it.  The ov dvds have been out for quite a while by then. Even non experts in the English language can at least try out their luck with English subtitles.  And those, who don't speak or understand English at all, are not the audience, the show is aimed at. Myself, I have to say, that I hardly watch tv anymore. Only occasionally documentaries, life sports and the news, that's it. Even the news I can get online 24/7.

When Sunday's airing has come and gone, I have the big problem, that I cannot talk about season three for almost 6 month with the few friends around me, who do follow Sherlock. Why do they need half a year anyway to finally air it here? And the early summer date is totally wrong. People doing outdoor stuff and things...

That's a good one, Susi! I can't even remember Sherlock's German voice. It's almost 4 years ago, that I heard it. Can't have made a lasting impression on me. And I can't believe, it's almost 4 years ago...

I still consider myself lucky, that on a hunch (and good reviews) I found the show on German tv. I expected to be mildly entertained... and was enthralled by SiP. But, as I said on another thread, I fell in love with the show, when I watched the original version of the show. I didn't even bother to watch the dubbed version of season2.

That doesn't sound so bad, Mrs. Watson. Did we expect anything else?

I think, Sherlock looked isolated, maybe a little lonely, in deep thoughts, but not heartbroken or sad. And I didn't get the impression, that, when he said, he liked dancing, that he had disco dancing in mind. Also, the bridesmaid was a pretty lousy dancer IMO. She could've never satisfied him. He's a perfectionist.  So, I wouldn't make too much of the bridesmaid dancing with someone else. especially, since Sherlock had kinda picked the guy for her. He was harmless, grateful and available, according to Sherlock. So, she thanks him, and he thanks her by giving her the flower, for putting up with him and being nice and intelligent company. When he looked at that pavillon full of light out of the darkness, I rather had the impression of an alien watching another species.

And Bruce Cook, you're right: Why involve the Homeless Network at all, when Mycroft was involved anyway and could've supplied much better trained people to carry out such an eleborate plan? The involvement of the Homeless Network was a popular theory right from the beginning. All three theories had references to popular fan theories included, which were nevertheless quite implausible. Theory 3 is no different, only more elaborated than the first two theories.... I'm fast going down Anderson Alley! Never understood him better, lol!

Bruce Cook, I certainly like your theory much better than the given one, especially the detail about the firefighter's device, wich could've been brought and carried away by the van. A friend of mine, who works as a fire expert for the police, said the same. He said, one would NEVER use such a Big Blue Pillow to get someone off a high roof. And that really keeps me thinking: Otherwise your theory isn't even that different from theory 3. So, why the heck couldn't Mofftiss come up with a slightly more credible theory. It would've been so easy! Just change the device for breaking the fall, and  let go of this lookalike body. And if they felt, they needed a decoy body, so they could film a beautyful crash for us, any body or even a dummy would've been more credible that a lookalike body, who wasn't only a dead ringer of Sherlock, but ALSO willing to do Moriarty's work, AND was killed, AND was found by Molly. Moriarty would've destroyed such a body! And what do Mycroft and Sherlock think about coincidences? The universe isn't so lazy! A few adjustments  wouldn't have changed the story line at all. And Mofftiss are no fools. They would've asked experts about this.  Aren't we almost insulting Mofftiss, by thinking, they came up with something so implausible? And, yet, I cannot see a way out of it now. If they won't revisit it, they won't revisit it...

I agree with Mark Gatiss, that Moran is a very uninteresting villain, but I expected, that, like in canon, SOMEONE, who was at the scene of the fall, witnessed Sherlock's survival, or deduced it.

Mary Me wrote, that we haven't seen little Archie before, and that the kids from the abduction were called Max and Claudette.
Thanks, Mary, that puts that little idea of mine to bed. I remember Claudette, but I can't remember, where the name of the boy was mentioned. It's good, that you found that out, because I got one very clear screenshot from the little boy of TRF, and he looks VERY much like Archie, only 2 years younger, but with the same brown curly hair, just a little shorter. But even, if it is the same little actor, that doesn't necessarily imply, that he plays the same character. They could've just used the same kid, especially since Max is just seen for one second, when they are eating the chocolat.
