"Young Corporal Lyons in Hound (Will Sharpe). To me he was the perfect example of all the young, fresh-faced recruits who have the huge responsibility of defending our country when they're barely old enough to shave.  I thought the actor who played him was spot on.  The kid was smart, competent, and well-trained, but just inexperienced enough to let John fool him. Perfect!"

Totally agree. I also really enjoyed Henry Knight and his "breakdown" at the end of HoB. The acting was raw, real, and engaging. Well done, Russell Tovey!

And taught sheet pulled tight by homeless network to catch him then the sheet thrown on the back of the truck after they roll Sherlock onto the ground?

I am more comfortable with the idea that a small group of homeless network were coordinated in that chalked out square, caught Sherlock, rolled him to the ground (now sideways), tossed the sheet into the back of the truck, staged Sherlock with blood/ball no pulse, discombobulated John to assist illusion..., than I am with Sherlock trying to jump on the back of that truck, replace his body with a dummy, etc.

It seems most logical to me that they used the sheet method (simplest solution) as they moved about their "magic trick/slight of hand." Occam's Razor. But, that's just me.

Sorry, posted above using your phone and autocorrect got to it.

*email* should be *he is the man*

and I was trying to say that he "conveniently shows up throughout the episode", but some of that sentence went missing.

I posted a part of this on a different thread, but here are my observations about who and why she is screaming:

1) if you look at the assassin positioned on the stairwell during the fall, he is dressed andooks like Sherlock. Dark coat, dark curly hair, high cheekbones es, etc. I think that he, along with the other person I'll mention in in #2, worked together to kidnap the children. The girl easily could have mistaken that assassin for Sherlock.

2) the red-haired police officer at the computer screen when Sherlock states which factory they children are at, is Moriarty's mole. He conveniently throughout the episode and then rushes in to the factory in front of the rest of the police. I believe it is him whispering, "quietly, quietly"  to the children as he snuffs out the candle and moves them to the location inside the factory where they are found.

He then is seen having a side conversation with Donovan after the girl screams at Sherlock in the station (easily planting doubt in her ear.)

he is, Imo,  the only email looking at Lestrade through the blinds when the assassins are mentioned to Sherlock on the rooftop.

This guy is everywhere!

To further this, but possibly a stretch, is to say that together with the Sherlock-lookalike assassin, they resemble the Sherlock/John pair to a Mercury poisoned child and she could have been screaming/pointing at both of them. (the idea that she wasn't aiming at just Sherlock was mentioned earlier in this thread and this pairing might address that.)

I think that, after watching "Falls"  again, Sherlock is definitely on to Richard Brook under the lense of Eva-Christine's theory posted above.

When John pucks up the breadcrumb envelope suggesting "Hansel and Gretyl" Nothing is mentioned to Sherlock about this yet. We only know there is a kidnapping of two children that looks political in nature. Sherlock goes through his analysis at the school site and then back at the lab says, "The oil, John. The oil will lead us to Moriarty."

since when does Moriarty come in to play on this case? Only Sherlock, knowing the fairytale/name challenge game of Moriarty is making this connection-suggesting get is well aware of Moriarty's moves ahead of time.

On a separate note. At the school site, Sherlock asks for Anderson to come to him . why? Anderson's a nitwit and the following scene shows Sherlock out-classing his forensic skills on every level and beratin him along the way. I think this is the moment he really needs to provoke this jealousy and doubt, setting his skill apart from the others. This is the catalyst that drives Sally to question how he could make these connections when Anderson clearly can't and setting Sherlock's arrest/fugitive" play" into action.

Reichenbach Theories » Sherlock & Moriarty Tea Scene » March 26, 2013 4:35 pm

In the tea scene, the camera plays the two characters at several different angles encouraging the engaging tit-for-tat exchange going on until Sherlock says, "I don't know," puts down his tea, and closes his hands together. This is when playtime is over. The camera locks in on Moriarty with quite a bit of space to the right. Moriarty stays fairly rigid during this cut. (Sorry, don't know filming/editing technical language.) I think that in the third season, that whole time Moriarty is doing his short monologue there, it is going to show a bunch of white labels flying around him and helping lay out everything Sherlock "knew/deducted" about him and his plan at that time.

Niiiiiice!  Our family just fell over each other reading this. Everybody is snuggled up watching Fall again with this theory I'm mind. Very intriguing theory!!

Regardless as to whether the theory above is a stretch, I am really impressed with the creativity and analysis that went into it. This reminds me of a time when the fifth Harry Potter book came out and bloggers were coming up with mind blowing analysis on bubblegum wrappers and codes, etc. In the end, the story was much simpler and straight forward than some of the solutions presented, but the journey, and depth of discussion, was both rewarding and inspiring. Kudos for making these connections Joalro; whether too complex, wrong, or right on the money--your thoughts/ ideas on the IOU storyline are FAR better than anything I've been able to come up with.

I think he is suspicious. I also think he runs into the old chocolate Factory where the children are hidden and is the one we hear whispering "quiet"  and "move over here"  or whatever he said. He snuffs out the candle, and plants them for sherlock and the rest to find.

He's everywhere in the episode. I think he and the gunman aiming out the window, from the stairwell after Sherlock jumps (who has shockingly similar features to Sherlock)  are Moriarty's child-kidnappers... And to two mercury-poisoned, hallucinating young children would look enough like Sherlock and Watson to induce the girl's screaming at the station.

In PINK, Sherlock meets Watson outside to show him the Baker St. Apt. He is explaining how he knows Mrs. Hudson. She opens the door and says, "Sherlock, look at you." and embraces him as if she hasn't seen in since her husband's trial. Problem is, he moved into the apartment already and in the next scene, she's admonishing him for the mess he has made in the kitchen.
