I'd actually say granada included Watson's marriage, because HE was his soulmate

I wanted to share that in the granada adaptation they added a fake phallic stone (more in detail in the link)
http://bug-catcher-in-viridian-forest.tumblr.com/post/148995590916/sherlock-holmes-1984-a-stone-as-a-phallic

Here's a picture that show the stone wasn't there in real life.

Also all those bed scenes are at the start of the series, the bed is never visible again and I really think they got a bigger one!
In The Master Blackmailer they are in a set of room that is probably Watson's (Holmes is bathing), but no bed in view.

Isn't "come watson" the most common line of dialogue in the whole series?

The dialogue is priceless there.
Watson offers Holmes his room, but Holmes wants to sleep where Watson is! And there are heart-shapes in the wallpaper and a pot.

I wanted to create a thread similar to the Johnlock one, but specific to the granada adaptation (to discuss ABOUT it but not IF it is there).

To start I want to share the masterpost of the love and sex innuendo that I just finished compiling (here, obviously there is a bit of nsfw text to describe the metaphors for sex).
Some of the metaphors are less obvious, but some are really blatant and stock metaphors (for examples the mouth fading into a tunnel with a train going inside it), to the extent that I think they are obviously intended, which gives a higher chance for the less obvious ones to be intended as well.

Also, if you think they are together, when do you think they got together?
I think they got together right after The Devil's Foot, here some reasons:
- because Holmes saying he has never loved to Watson at the end of that episode would mean he hasn't confessed his feelings yet.
- in that episode Holmes makes a big change to his life, giving up drugs, which are according to some interpretations (like the director of TPLOSH's) representative of his not being happy because of homosexuality, so the drugs might go away once Holmes and Watson get to be happy together.
- It is the episode in which he calls Watson "John".
- I don't think they are together from the start because in the first series they don't seems quite so close and even Sherlock says that they didn't know each other so well at the time of the Geek Interpreter.
- I don't think we ever see Watson's bed again after that episode (and even from some episodes before), so it might be one for two people.

There are some lines I can't understand in the Granada adaptation, especially since I'm not English, so I both lack knowledge of some words and have a bias towards replacing them with words I already know.
Some in particular are background voices not in the transcripts that can be found online.
Now in particular I need help understanding what does the man off-screen shouts in The Blue Carbuncle a bit after 35:40, in the market.
It starts with "Where else can you -"

I don't remember too well, but the assassin was the sister of the guy with the ring on the right ring finger, right? like Mycroft.

So, the whole family has been lying to Sherlock for three-ish decades???? About a lost sibling that not only mortally shot Sherlock, but then showed up for Christmas dinner???

Sherlock needs a new family.

There is no need for his family having lied to him.
Sibling is lost/presumed dead/kidnapped by aliens 30-35 years before, when Sherlock is 2 to 7 years old.
After some years the family might not talk about it much, they certainly don't bring it up now on a regular basis. Sherlock doesn't think about it because it's very painful, possibly the circumstances made it really traumatic. Possibly the family talks about it very little because Sherlock gets very hurt by talking about it.
Some ideas are that the dog was involved in loosing the sibling or a therapy dog after the sibling was lost, so redbeard merged with the other one memory.
Sherlock has no reason to suspect the sibling is alive so he never wonders somebody next to him might be the sibling, until something triggers him to suspect so which has not happened yet.

It's not that complicated.
There have been some hints that Sherlock has removed a traumatic memory from his past and that redbeard is tied to it. Here's meta I read some time ago about it to add to my own meta.
The whole of TAB "going deeper" into in mind palace could be about retrieving that memory.

If they have been separated when they where very young they don't recognize each other.
Mary had another name. Sherlock was possibly called William. Mycroft might have another first name, gone by Mike or not played with younger siblings.
Some of the characters might even know about it already and not saying it.

The aim of episodes it's then to explain the story which we don't yet know, once the episode is over it's not complicated, it's the story of the episode.

I've got a huge meta collecting all the evidence of Mary = The Other One for those interested here.
It's composed by a part that speculates if Sherlock has a sister called elizabeth and another that speculates on sherlock's sister being mary. Both part or only one could be true.

I'm not a drawer at all but here we go anyway
CHARACTER: Mary
CLOTHES: From 4.1
POKÉMON:
Skitty, because Mary is a “Cat Lover” and wears Claire de la Lune.
Houndour, because Mary is leading the hound and it’s a dark-type (plus it has a red beard).

(I'm planning others)

I had a theory since february that 4.3 was going to be called The Second Star, from The Second Stain, since there are many possible Peter Pan references, and today we got a ship with "☆ TUNNARA II" painted on.
☆ = STAR
II = SECOND
