And to repeat just one more time: John didn't know Sherlock was gonna die.
John didn't know quite a lot of things in last two episodes: In TSoT he didn't know that Sherlock is terrified by the wedding (I took Mary to understand it). Really? In HLV he didn't know he needed an urgent medical attention when they got back to Bakerstreet. Really? A bloody doctor? (Yes, I know he was feeling sorry about himself in that moment) He didn't understand implication of what S. was saying? Really? "Likely last conversation I will have with John", "the game is on, but they will be new players"East wind takes us all in the end", "it's unlikely we will ever meet again": I thought John was able to read subtexts? But may be he has to have it on his t-shirt,
wow!! a bit harsh on poor John, but I have to agree with you. =)

As avid Arrow watcher, I can honestly say that a trio can be very enjoyable. As Grimm watcher I can say that adding new people to the "inner circle" so to speak can add to a show. As White Collar watcher I can admit that building a show around the relationship of two people does become problematic on the long run.
I honestly don't care if they make a trio, or an ensemble show, all of this can be very enjoyable, and as long as I get the deep friendship between sherlock and John, it is all fine. You're right. I personally love all minor characters on "Sherlock" and I don't think that a trio can't be a good thing. But for me, the ideal thing with "Sherlock" will always be an ensemble show with the relationship of John and Sherlock in the middle. That's just something I enjoy very much. That doesn't mean that it has to be this way all the time, but in the end, in the very end of the show, I want John and Sherlock to be back an 221b sitting at the fire place and waiting for clients. That'll always be my "goal" when watching the show. That's why everything, that seems to lead away from this makes me kind of anxious. But not in a very serious way. I just like to talk about these things, freak out a little and enjoy the show just as it is.
Can I make your words mine? Because it sum up my rambling thoughts,in a less bitter way.

Fine, I move this into this thread:
Mary was a killer, stopped it for whatever reason and is pregnant. In S4 she may as well stay at home, take care of the baby and let John and Sherlock be "sexy".
Mrs Hudson is kind of a badass, too, but never joins them during their adventures.
I don't understand why people don't want Mary along anymore when nobody really can know, yet, what Mofftiss will do with her!? IMO right now it is NOT a trio. So what's your problem??
Yes, you are right. I'll probably make up my mind around it, but now I just can't do it, I can't trust her...she shot(kill) Sherlock, and no one can convince me that she had a real reason to do that. I trust Mofftiss enough to make a good job with the contradicitions of her character... I'm just having some trouble to cope with Johnlock feelings... and now I'm just rambling,

Rest assured that it will be in the most painful way possible
Maybe, but most of us thought that she wouldn't survive series 3 and she did. My guess is that if she does go (and I hope she does) it will be something to do with a reveal about her true identity. I just don't believe that her past went up in smoke with that memory stick.
Oh god yes, please get rid of her!
Oh, yes, please, please, please!!!!
It doesn't even matter how!!!

Thoughts anyone...?I think that’s what he/the writers meant.
As in, after you left and hurt me, I looked for someone who wasn’t like you [to not risk being hurt again].
As in, John ultimately saw Sherlock as a life partner. In whichever way that could be.
Yes, that's what I meant,

I felt like it, too.
It kept ringing in my head... what he really wanted to say... idk, something like: " she wasn't supposed to be *replacing* you...
I've just watched it again, and was probably wearing my Jonlock goggles, so...

I like your comparison of Sherlock being like a half empty flat.

Agreed! =)

I just don't trust her anymore. How come she get to know John in first place? Was it just coincidence? And I don't see why she had to shot Sherlock at all. Personally, I wish she could be out of the picture soon, but don't really see this happening... =/

I agree wholeheartedly. If not for anything else, this episode will definitely always have a special place in my heart because of Benedict. He was... amazing. There aren't enough awards out there to reward him with for this. It was pure joy to watch him doing what he did... and Martin had a really hard job, I would say, because at times there wasn't a whole lot to do for him apart from reacting... and he also did this brilliantly. Those two guys... are killing me. They made me laugh, they made me cry, they made me spill my tea... and really, what more can you ask for...?Yes to all!!!
Agreed !!! Excellent job !
Totally true!!

Oh my... I couldn't stop laughing... And the *feels*... and I'm confusing about my feelings for Mary...she's adorable, but I insist on my Johnlock ship... they belong together... I don't know... so many thoughts... let's just wait to see what the evil genius Moffat had prepared to break our hearts...
