Yes, thank you, I'm fine. And theatre has become very important and inspiring for me. Which places in Germany are you going to visit?

I hope you have been doing well. I discovered an amazing actor working at a theatre near me. So I have become a stage aficionado since February 2022.

I watched the film three times so far and keep discovering new things. I think it is a masterpiece in so many respects: acting, writing, cinematography, music, set design, just everything. I am very much in favour of the changes they made to the novel, leaving out much of the Gordons's story because it would have been too much for one film.
And do not get me started on the actors, what a beautiful talented ensemble cast. Of course Benedict is close to my heart and I wish him all the awards but they are all perfect in their own right.
A dark story indeed but it did not depress me because it is such an amazing film.

P.S. I would be interested in the cut line as well.

Yes, this is really sad. However, I am very glad that they were able to keep it private. He chose to talk about it in the podcast instead of it being spread by the media themselves.

I am very excited for the film and happy that it will be on Netflix as of tomorrow. Going to the cinema feels too dangerous at the moment.

Wow, so much amazing news about the film. It will be presented at no less than 6 major festivals. It will be opening feature in Venice and at London Film Festival. I am just re-reading the book and it is so, so good.

I am so glad to hear all these positive things about the film. I am still a bit nervous about going to the cinema with so many people. And of course I do not want to see a dubbed version so I ordered the DVD. 25 November cannot come soon enough.

I am glad to hear about the message, besley.

And I was very sad to hear about Una's death but I think she had a long and fulfilled life. I read she died surrounded by her family. And of course she never will be forgotten as our Mrs Hudson.

I also wondered how Benedict must feel about her death since he knew her as a boy and she was a friend of his mum.

So have I. Brilliant.
My son even has Prime but since we are in Germany I cannot watch "The Courier" which is a shame since cinemas have been closed from November until now as well.

Of course. But subtitles would have helped. I kept asking myself if native speakers did understand everything he said. And do not get me started on "Wreckers" and "The Last Enemy", both without subtitles as well.
