They are! The color schemes remind me of the Vanitas art I always admired

Just copying my post from the other thread over here so the discussion is in one place.

I zoomed in on the photo and the only people looking at the camera are John and Sherlock and everyone else seems to be looking off somewhere else, not directly at anyone, lost in thought (although Mycroft comes closest to looking at Sherlock). I also noticed Mycroft is standing where his umbrella was left in the other promo pic with the flooded room.

As for their expressions, to me Molly looks sad, a little angry/maybe determined
Mycroft looks sad and regretful
Mrs Hudson looks sad and concerned
Mary looks confident, almost pleased/proud
Lestrade looks sad, slightly like he's lost hope
Both John and Sherlock look annoyed/like they mean business

Basically everyone is displaying some sort of negative emotion except Mary.

Most bizarre Sherlock´s hair thus far:

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Is it a wig? It looks odd indeed.

It's apparently the same shirt and the same robe Sherlock's been wearing when John asked him to be his best man. Huh.

I wonder if they are going back to the moment when John said he loved Sherlock

I love this:

What can we expect from Mycroft this series?
Secrets and lies! The relationship develops with Sherlock again; it’s much spikier and more combative than in Conan Doyle’s stories. In this series we find out an awful lot more about why their relationship is like it is and where it gets to is interesting!

I think we expected as much, but this is something I'm looking forward to.  I'm guessing this will be a big theme of TFP.

It´s a little "comics", in fact.

Spoiler free thoughts on T6T from Sherlockology.
http://www.sherlockology.com/news/2016/12/20/six-thatchers-review1-201216

This line hit me.   "One member in the cast in particular potentially exceeds all their previous work on the series in their performance."

I do hope it's Loo! Seeing Molly always makes me happy. Some kind of a dramatic twist to the character would be tons of fun in my opinion. Jim underestimated her - the viewers shouldn't

"...the narrative allowing the episode to make surprising turns and allowing it to explicitly borrow elements from a genre the series hasn't dug too deeply into before now."

That sounds very much like emp to me! :-D
