A special with hopefully lots of interesting things to discuss.

I think we will have plenty to keep us occupied.

Hell, we might even crash tumblr again.

The filming next spring makes pefect sense to me--I figured they'd use the special to delay things for one year, and that's what it looks like it will be, with season 4 airing either for the holiday season 2016 or the very beginning of 2017.

YAY!

Even if we don't like how long the road is going to be it's still nice to have some sign posts.

I agree, I always thought that the Special will delay S4 for exactly one year.
That's why I haven't been completely over the moon about it, because to be honest: I'd prefer to get three new episodes after two years rather than only one - even if that one might be a very special one.
But then again: good things come to those who wait.

Eventually everyone will support Johnlock.

"If you're not reading the subtext then hell mend you"  -  Steven Moffat
"Love conquers all" Benedict Cumberbatch on Sherlock's and John's relationship
"This is a show about a detective, his best friend, his wife, their baby and their dog" - Nobody. Ever.

Could you explain this? Which subject line do you mean? Surely not this one.

"John, I need some, get me some!" ...yeah, I feel the same way, too Sherlock!  At least we have something to look forward to this Christmas

The BBC probably told them that they will start filming S4 in autumn 2019.

I read somewhere that this tweet is actually from January and it´s in fact referring to the Sherlock Special... but of course, I can´t know for sure.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

You're right. I found the original tweet, it was posted on January 23.

No need to apologise, I was taken in too at first, before I found the blog that explained the origin of the tweet.
