Yes, would make sense to me as well.

I´m not sure about the rest of the scene, but Sherlock´s reaction after John says "of course, I forgive you" doesn´t seem like a sham to me. He painfully wanted to hear those words.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

You know what? I have TEH on my mobile and I have lunchbreak. I will re-watch that scene right now.

And what else can I tell you: Especially that scene doesn't work properly right now.
Do we really have no thread, yet, where we discussed it in detail I wonder?

It doesn't look like it, Mattlocked, at least I didn't find such a thread in the "The Empty Hearse"-section. I'm sure it was mentioned in various threads already, but there doesn't seem to be a specific thread just for this.

That is surely a manip. Photoshopped to death. Ben and Martin don't act like this.

Yes, I know - I somehow have a talent for believing such photoshops

I think it has been discussed somewhere extensively. But I have no idea if there is a special thread for it.

It might be in here:

Thank you Susi; yes, I think there are some snippets.
But I found an analysis on tumblr, quite interesting. (Someone always was quicker.  )
I opened an extra thread for it, although find it quite Johnlock-y.

Should work one more hour now I guess.......

I've only been reading quite unsuitable Johnlock fanfic lately, gently, so I guess Susi might have better recs than me. She's been reading far more ff than myself, I'm sure.

What about "The only one in the world, I invented the job" for Gently? A lot of quite nice, lovely and/or funny episodes in their life.
As long as I remember right.    But then again I didn't finish it yet...................
