Each time I see this scene with Martin's friendly face I get the impression that John is looking straight through the screen and can see me sitting in my room, smiling at me. I have to smile then myself.

*sigh* Martin reminds me of my husband in looks and humour. Hubby's a good bit heavier than Martin but the short sandy hair, the way he carries himself when he walks, the wrinkles around his eyes shen he smiles.

Well, here we are thudding left and right (seriously, are any of you left standing?? ) over a certain favorite 'pin-up' in a certain other thread (hey, not that I'd ever complain!), and..... I thought it only fair that this gentleman here also got a pin-up while we're at it. Because, seriously, albeit in quite a different way.... also 'wow'...

Really!??? I also watched it last night!
Bought and watched it years ago because I'm a huge fan of Alan Rickman (the depressed Marvin, you know ) but didn't know Martin until then. So last night I concentrated on him.
Got to know him in "Love Actually" later, but really adore him since Sherlock.

So much strength in that simple face. I have thought he was adorable for years but it was Sherlock that I fell in love with his serious side.
