I was thinking the exact thing! This colour is perfect for him.
Oh.God.Yes.Each time I see this scene with Martin's friendly face I get the impression that John is looking straight through the screen and can see me sitting in my room, smiling at me. I have to smile then myself. ![]()

Subtle? Well.... I'm not sure how subtle this is, but....

*sigh* Martin reminds me of my husband in looks and humour. Hubby's a good bit heavier than Martin but the short sandy hair, the way he carries himself when he walks, the wrinkles around his eyes shen he smiles.

Well, here we are thudding left and right (seriously, are any of you left standing??
) over a certain favorite 'pin-up' in a certain other thread (hey, not that I'd ever complain!), and..... I thought it only fair that this gentleman here also got a pin-up while we're at it. Because, seriously, albeit in quite a different way.... also 'wow'... ![]()

And their characters are very, very nice together. Mmmm. Easter, Christmas, and my birthday, all rolled into one. *munch*

Wow, the second one just made my heart stop. After two days of detox I really needed this. Thank you Russell.

Found myself watching Hitchhiker's Guide again last night. Martin is fraking adorable. That is all.

Aww... danke.
Just... man... something about being sleekly dressed, or even in all dark, as in your sig pic...
Another Martin in a suit, then...? ![]()

Martin wants to know why you're looking at him like that. Martin's calling you out. Martin's such a bad ass, he doesn't need shoes.

Martin haunts my nightmares.
Seriously, I've had weirdo dreams that are not much more weirdo than this.

Really!??? I also watched it last night!

Bought and watched it years ago because I'm a huge fan of Alan Rickman (the depressed Marvin, you know
) but didn't know Martin until then. So last night I concentrated on him.
Got to know him in "Love Actually" later, but really adore him since Sherlock.

Felt the need to re-post a screen shot I did a while back because it seems to illustrate a lovely description I found in a fan fic - from 'The Paradox Series" by wordstrings, chapter titled 'Wider Than A Mile':
There are times, Sherlock knows, when he is amazing. When he is a supercomputer, when he is a blood hound, when he is a marauder and the prize in his sights is an Army doctor with a sweet, gentle face and a deadly trigger finger.

So much strength in that simple face. I have thought he was adorable for years but it was Sherlock that I fell in love with his serious side.
