It's not my show, I watched it once and found it quite boring. I prefer How I met your mother, although it jumped the shark a bit.

Yes, Helen is a friend of Benedict, she is his "transmitter" to Twitter. He also "used" her last year to thank his fans for the money the spent for charity in his name for his birthday.
