A!www...the two of them together! Just like 'Performance in a Leading Role', right AG? LOL

i try mightily not to mix up the actors with their roles, ahem.... but yeah, sure, just like PiaLR, except without the snogging in the limo before and after, lolololol.

Re: Emmy Awards

NOOOOO!  Danny Strong of "Game Change" beat out Steven Moffat.  Anyone think it ironic that Lucy Liu was the one who announced it?

Re: Emmy Awards

The L.A. Times is doing a good job of keeping up with the nominees/winner list in real time.

Interesting to see the various other winners in the Sherlock-related categories alongside our team.

Re: Emmy Awards

Okay, the one we're waiting for is up next--lead actor.  Naturally, there are three minutes of commercials first...  Deep breaths...

The New York Times is also live blogging.  Mike Hale wrote: Are there even any rules, or do they just make them up each year? Why is “Downton Abbey"  now a series while “American Horror Story"  and “Sherlock"  aren’t?

Re: Emmy Awards

Jay Roach won Best Director over Paul McGuigan.  The clip shown for "Sherlock" was when John was beating up Sherlock prior to going to Irene's house.

"Sherlock" has been shut out so far.  Hope that isn't an omen.

Re: Emmy Awards

Based on what's happened so far, I'm gonna havta predict that "Hatfields & McCoys" is gonna win for Best Mini-Series, too.

Hmm.  Maybe this means the "Sherlock" folk will want to do even more seasons, just to have ore chances at Emmys.

Re: Emmy Awards

From The New York Times:

The Emmy goes to Kevin Costner for “Hatfields & McCoys."
MIKE HALE: Looks like I jinxed Woody Harrelson. The real shame is that Benedict Cumberbatch’s performance in “Sherlock"  is something really distinctive and special.
DAVE ITZKOFF: Is Costner up for any other awards tonight? I ask only because I’d like to see him explain that 2012 Olympics metaphor in his acceptance speech.
MH: Yes, heads are being scratched over here, too.
DI: Was it even the 2012 games? I’m doing a lot of extrapolating here at home.
