I was reading the Star Trek discussion with interest (also a fan - shall we do a Venn diagram?) and was about to post but I agree that it's OT for this thread. However, this thread will kind of disappear into the ether when we get our answers tomorrow, so no harm done!
As for further episodes .... I'm beginning to feel that "the story we've been telling all along" may just be what they originally said they were going to tell - i.e. how Sherlock became the mature, Rathbone-era Sherlock Holmes. By tomorrow night he will have resolved some things and be ready to embark on that. So it's the end of an era ... but it's open for Moftiss to write for the new era Sherlock too. Rathbone was a fairly young-looking forty-something when he started playing Holmes, and Benedict is now in his 40s. If they can't schedule filming for another few years, then it would be right for him to be "mature" Sherlock.
On topic! Eurus and Sherlock are brother and sister, so I think that at the heart of it is something deeper than "like". As Sherlock says, love is a dangerous motivator. I'm very, very curious about what's gone on in the past, and what they really feel for each other.

Yes and I would love a happy and lasting reunion of the siblings, but I somehow just don't see it happening.

No, I don't see it either. I feel Eurus will be out of the picture by the end, although I'm not sure how. (Death? Incarceration?)

I guess if we have to lose one character(if indeed we do need to)...better it be one we haven't spent nearly 7 years growing to love.

I couldn't agree more. *wraps up Mycroft in cotton wool*

I've just had a thought...oh actually, maybe somebody said it before in relation to Mary?
But Could Euros be ' Miss Me'.
In that she is a Miss...or maybe Sherlock used to call her ' Miss Me'....

Oh, that's a good one, Besleybean! (It reminds me of the character "Me" in Doctor Who, and how that name lead to an interesting double meaning/cliffhanger). And a line like "you are Me" would be interesting. The only thing is ... why didn't it jog Sherlock's memory?

Because we don't know how much he's suppressed?
Oh I don't know...
I'm not convinced myself, just thought it worth throwing out there.

I know ... I kind of like it, though.

I'm going to throw out another one, on the 'Called it' thread.

It is great!
...We lost Mary, but it was unavoidable. Now I am increasingly concerned about
Mrs Hudson. She became suddenly so important and interesting - can it be "good bye"? :<

I hope not...

They quite follow canon it this. I do not think that they would kill any person from it. neither Mrs. Hudson not Mycroft.
Eurus, it is something different.

Hope so...unless it breaks Sherlock's heart.

We also should remember that Loo was very tight-lipped about her part. I wonder why, because it hasn't been a big part so far.

Didn't she say something about "somebody flips, somebody's had enough" - something like that? Was that supposed to be her? Or somebody else (I'm thinking Sherlock after seeing the chess pic!).

Who is Loo?
