New Sherlock Fan from Germany says hi

Hi everyone, Sherlockian newbie here... Watched Sherlock for the first time about 3 months ago over here on German TV and was totally blown away by it. 
Sherlock and Cumbers aficionada ever since...
I also love Criminal Minds, Star Trek TOS, The Beatles, and books, loads of books...
Looking forward to meeting like-minded folk!

Ah you're right, SolarSystem, watching Sherlock on German TV (in fact, watching anything non-German on German TV) is quite brave! German dubbing can be a bit not good...

But rest assured, I bought the DVDs the next day and watched it in its full rapid-fire English glory...

Yes, Pengwing, same thing 'happened' to me. First I saw it on German television, a few days later I bought the dvds. And it felt like a whole different show. At least now during S3 they finally decided to stop their Siezlock.

Ahh, THAT'S why! Was already wondering. Hooked from watching it on German telly?? 

But, I confess, here it happened exactly the same way.

I was hooked by the german version first....and bought the bluray only a view , month ago.

Imo the original version "just works better".
The dubbed version was entertaining for me but nothing more. The original one "hooked" me.

Hey Pengwing, welcome! What a fab idea for a username  I also watched Sherlock on German telly first, was hooked instantly but the real revelation happened when i watched the English original. Have fun here.
