Jeopardy Sherlock Holmes Stories

Sherlock Holmes Stories was a category in Single Jeopardy on "Jeopardy - Tournament of the Decades" last evening. I must say these semi-finalists, all multi times champions were VERY VERY WEAK on their DOYLE!!

Here is how it went:

$200 

Poison darts turn out to be the cause in "The Adventure of the Sussex" one of these Slavic fiends.

No one even guessed!!!! (Vampire)

$400

Sea Captain "Black Peter" carey is killed with this weapon.

Once again, no one even guessed!!!! (harpoon)

$600

There's "The Sign of" this group -- Akbar, Khan, Singh, & Small.

Mark - "The Four" - Got it!

$800

"The Final Problem" culminates at this cataract.

Chuck - "The Reichenbach Falls" - got it!

$1000

"The Man With the Twisted" this feature turns out to be an actor in makeup.

No one even guessed!!!! (Lip)

I´m really surprised that so many people are ignorant about original ACD stories. When I was growing up, the libraries were full of them and they were "advertised" by very good TV series and movies.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?
