Jeopardy Sherlock Holmes Stories

Sherlock Holmes Stories was a category in Single Jeopardy on "Jeopardy - Tournament of the Decades" last evening. I must say these semi-finalists, all multi times champions were VERY VERY WEAK on their DOYLE!!

Here is how it went:

Poison darts turn out to be the cause in "The Adventure of the Sussex" one of these Slavic fiends.

No one even guessed!!!! (Vampire)

Sea Captain "Black Peter" carey is killed with this weapon.

Once again, no one even guessed!!!! (harpoon)

There's "The Sign of" this group -- Akbar, Khan, Singh, & Small.

Mark - "The Four" - Got it!

"The Final Problem" culminates at this cataract.

Chuck - "The Reichenbach Falls" - got it!

"The Man With the Twisted" this feature turns out to be an actor in makeup.

No one even guessed!!!! (Lip)

Re: Jeopardy Sherlock Holmes Stories

I´m really surprised that so many people are ignorant about original ACD stories. When I was growing up, the libraries were full of them and they were "advertised" by very good TV series and movies.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?
