She's right, of course, but I'm afraid her sarcasm won't get her anyhwere with the ARD... they just don't get it and, even worse, I think they aren't really interested.

A bit less arrogance would not have been bad. She is not Sherlock after all. Even if much of it may be true.

Agreed, Susi. That way she might not even get an answer.

I think she only wanted to get rid off her anger. A try to achieve a change needs another attitude.

Indeed. The arguments are similar to what we have discussed but the tone of voice is not acceptable. And they do try to answer. I even got a reaction the same day.

Did you write to the Zuschauerredaktion, Susi?

Hello, lovelies.
Was away for a couple of days according to the Osterferien and too little time as the kids are not occupied without school and kindergarten...
Need some time to catch up with all the news and this thread is quite intruiging at the moment.
I was really convinced the german dubbing would switch to Du at the scene with John asking Sherlock to be his best man as the best opportunity! Unfortunately I don't get the trailer you are referring to, with Mary and Moriarty, just got the short trailer about repeating the old episodes. So I had still little hope, that the Siezen might be limited to the Empty Hearse. The answer Susi got is less a clear statement but full of "Eigentlich hab ich keine Ahnung". Ohne Worte...

They could also switch to du when they are almost dying by bomb explosion...
Well @ tumblr, she writes somewhere else that she wasn't interested in an answer.
Someone else said he/she was ok about the Sie because it is more about the cases. Well WRONG! Especially in the 3rd series. As Moffat uses to say: It is not a detective series, it is a series about a detective...

Yes, I did.

I wrote to the Trailer-Redaktion, they were quite kind.
After all, it's just a tv show, nobody injured, nobody hurt

I think we may discuss this again and again but it will not change anything. I am no pessimist but this case seems lost to me. By now it even may be too late to switch because people would not understand the sudden change.
I guess the only thing that could really bring it around were an intimate relationship. Apart from that - we had both of them in dramatic situations of all sorts up to death and they did not change it.

That is really setting my imagination in motion. One could try to translate a nice scene using this form of address.

Oh no, Susi, that was not my intentrion!

Sherlock: Es tut mir leid.
John: Was?
Sherlock: Vergeben Sie mir?
John: Was?
John: Nein, nein, nein, nein, nein, nein. Das ist ein Trick.
Sherlock: Nein.
John: Noch einer Ihrer verdammten Tricks.
Sherlock: Nein.
Sherlock: Yeah, nun seien Sie vorsichtig damit, was Sie sich wünschen.
________________________________________________________________________________
John: Sie...
John: ... völliger...
Sherlock: Ihr Gesicht!
John: Sie...
Sherlock: Ich hatte Sie total.
John: Sie ****!
Sherlock: Indianerehrenwort
John: ... irgendjemandem erzählen! Sie WUSSTEN ES!
Sherlock: Es gibt einen Aus-Schalter.
John: Was?
Quite intimate... Some guy making his friend reveal his feelings... Not?

...but thanks to the ARD we have the final proof: Sherlock has emotions. Having to siez his beloved John on German tv makes the poor sod cry...
