Introductions Please... » Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum » October 22, 2013 4:58 pm

Harriet – thank you for the welcome!

Susi – I’m glad you watched my video. Thank you. I hope you enjoy the others on my channel. Benedict has the voice of a GOD! I could just sit and listen to that man talk all day. If I lived in Sherlock’s world I could just sit and watch him play his violin all day long, kinda like Irene, just sit and stare at this god like creature while he was thinking. I would never get bored doing that.

Carol – Hello! Thanks for the welcome! I agree that Mofftiss nailed it with this show. Nothing short of spectacular. Though I want series 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 etc, I NEED series 3 NOW! Like RIGHT NOW! lol.

The Reichenbach Fall » This is my fav episode and I wanted to share a few thoughts » October 22, 2013 5:57 am

Ah, The Reichenbach Fall. My absolute favorite episode in the Sherlock Series. I don’t think I have ever been so emotionally devastated by a television show in my life then when I was watching this episode.

It’s not Sherlock’s fall that tears me up inside, its John’s reaction to his fall that does it.

When we first meet John he is a broken and lost man. He feels he no longer has a purpose. Then he meets Sherlock and voila! he has purpose again. And as the series continues we see the relationship between these two blossom into something that is just… well… perfect. In the end John cares about Sherlock more than anything else in the world. Sherlock *IS* John’s world. Without Sherlock John is back to having no purpose. He is once again floating through life lost and broken.

John doesn’t just watch his best friend jump from the roof, he watches his world jump from the roof. Everything that matters to John has just vanished. And it’s Martin Freeman’s performance of this that rips my heart out. John’s reaction is so utterly heartbreaking. No matter how many times I have seen this scene I still cry, every time, because of John. I just want to take him into my arms and tell him that it’s ok, that Sherlock will be back. *wipes away a tear* Man, I can’t even write about this scene without getting all teary eyed.

Even if you are not a Johnlock shipper, you can’t deny that these two love each other. But I find it impossible that someone could watch TRF and not come out of it thinking that they just watched a tragic love story. They have a love for one another that beats out every other love story on the planet.
When Sherlock says “nobody could be that clever” and John instantly responds with “you could” - for me, personally, this is John saying “I love you.” And that laugh Sherlock does right after John says that is like a light bulb going off in Sherlock’s head. It’s Sherlock understanding right then and there that not only does

My story is absolutely boring in comparison, I just stumbled across the show when they were showing a rerun of Scandal on TV late in the evening. Although I have to say, a few months earlier I happened to tune into a scene of TBB, watched it for about two minutes, thought "Boring!" and switched channels. What can I say...

Well it *WAS* TBB. Worst episode in my opinion. If that had been the first one I saw... I might not have continued on watching it lol.

Hi Neptune, welcome to the forum!
As I can see you've already made yourself at home here, that's great.
Your story of how you came across Sherlock is sort of... hilarious. A bit sad, but also hilarious.
Have fun!

I know, I know! lol. But you know what, it's so crazy and silly, I don't mind sharing the story with people. Make's me stand out a bit, you know? ;)

Thank you for the welcoming. I am starting to settle in a bit, I'm trying to make posts and get invovled in different conversations. So far I am having a great time on this forum. :D

General Sherlock Discussion » Random thoughts. Would love to get some feedback on these! » October 22, 2013 4:45 am

Not really sure where to post this, hopefully this is an ok spot.

This is just a post of a bunch of random thoughts I’ve had here and there. I would love to read some feedback and opinions on these thoughts. Don’t be shy!

Ok, here goes.

Everyone seems to be so focused on “How did Sherlock fake his death.” I admit I too would love to know the final answer to this, but more importantly I am dying to know more about what John has been doing since Sherlock “died”.

John of course never once faltered in his faith in Sherlock, and I can’t imagine that even after Sherlock “died” he would sit idly around and let the world go on believing Sherlock was a fraud. The John I have come to know and love would do something! Or at least try. Thoughts?

This leads me into my next thought: What about Moriarty’s body on the roof? Surely someone would have discovered it? There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Mycroft would have been this person. He gave Moriarty the “perfect ammunition to destroy Sherlock”, therefore I can only assume that his guilt in this matter would drive him to help Sherlock in any way he could. But would he use the body to help clear Sherlock’s name? Would Mycroft, or even Lestrade try to help John in his quest to clear his name? Would clearing his name to the public put John, Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson in danger all over again?

I have also read over and over that people seem to think that Moriarty also faked his death. I disagree with this for one simple reason: Moriarty is INSANE! (No, I’m not just getting that now, lol) Moriarty is so obsessed with destroying Sherlock that he would indeed kill himself if he thought it meant that he would win. He’s dead. Period. I do however think that Moriarty’s spider web stretches far and wide and he will have an indirect part in the forthcoming season(s).  What are your thoughts on this? (I would like to quickly add that even though I know beyond any doubt that Moriarty is dead, it ma

Possibly too obscure of a Douglas Adams reference? But I was thinking maybe they thought it might be funny since "42" is the answer to everything. Just another layer of subtext to add to your plate when trying to analyze every episode in minutiae.

There is no such thing as "over-thinking" in the Sherlock fandom. Just saying,

I like Ian. He's a good actor. I would check this out simpy because I like him. But regradless, the BBC's Sherlock is *THE* definitive Sherlock experience, imo.

This was a hard question! But ultimately I chose Moriarty. I'm not sure if I would have choosen him if it wasn't for Andrew Scott's AMAZING portrayal of him. After Moriarty, it's Lestrade. I love him to pieces!

Meet The Members » What does your username/signature/avatar say about you? » October 21, 2013 11:51 pm

Hello! Well I just joined these forums, but I can tell you a little about my name. First off my avatar, which I JUST put on should be pretty self explaining. I am JOHNLOCKED! XD As far as my name, Neptune Centari goes, I have been Neptune Centari for as long as I can remember. I came up with it when I was 11. I'm almost 30 now, so I've had it forever. When I first started going online, around age 11, I needed a username... I think it was for yahoo IM. I was a really big Sailormoon fan, and Sailor Neptune was my favorite. So I came up with Lady Neptune. I was Lady Neptune for about a year. Then I started playing a game that had an avatar and I wanted a name. Not just Lady Neptune. I wanted a first and last name. So I decided Neptune was a good first name and then proceded to play around with other astrological terms and settled on Centari. I spelled it wrong on purpose. I didn't like the way Centauri looked, so I dropped the U. I created a unique name and it just kinda stuck. It's never taken and it's memorable. So there you have it! I have been Neptune Centari for almost 20 years, and I plan to be Neptune Centari for the rest of my internet life.

*HUGS* I love Johnlockians! I mean COME ON, you will NEVER find a pair of souls that belong together as much as Sherlock and John. These two very broken, very imcomplete souls find each other aginest all odds and they make each other whole. It's as simple as that. I will go down with this ship! <3

I have a couple of Johnlock videos on my youtube page if you're interested. But becareful, I don't skimp on the FEELS! Don't get mad at me if you cry! lol. Here's the link to my channel -- http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrXLLSBE8fj8CDyX6_N7-fQ/videos

Hello! I am also new to these forums! I just posted my introduction and thought I would say hi to anyone else who also recently joined up.

I haven't been a huge fan of Sherlock very long. It was only a year ago that I discovered the BBC's Sherlock, and what a HAPPY year it's been becoming part of this fandom! I knew who Sherlock Holmes was before watching the show, I mean, who doesn't know that name? Even people who know nothing about Sherlock tend to at least know that he is a Detective and that his faithful sidekick is Dr. John Watson. I was pretty much in that same crowd. I knew of him, but didn't know much beyond that. I am so happy that that is no longer the case! After watching the show I decided to go and read the original ACD stories, and I'm super happy I did. I do like the BBC's modern version of Sherlock a lot more then I did the stories, but hey, I'm a 21st century baby and I like the 21st century slueth!

Hope to see you around the forums! Take care!

Introductions Please... » Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum » October 21, 2013 11:00 pm

Hi guys! Thank you for the warm welcome!

I actually first watched Sherlock about a year ago. It's actually a very interesting and very unique story. I flew down to Tennessee last November to meet a guy I met online. When I got there... well things didn't work out the way we hoped. lol. Though I knew what he looked liked, we had skyped many times, and I also KNEW he was on the shorter side (5'3" I was trying not to judge, you know?) when I got off the plane and I saw him I realized this wasn't going to happen. He was way to short and I just simply was not attracted to him physically. So here I am, far away from home, stuck for 5 days in TN with a man I was not attracted too, I had no clue what to do! I did the only thing I could do... I was honest. I told him that I was sorry but that it just wasn't going to work out. He became quite upset with me (that first night, I gotta admit, I was a little scared to go to sleep becasue of how explosively he reacted to me telling him this.) But all he did was lock himself in his computer room for the duration of my stay, leaving me out in the living room, on the couch, all alone. Well, I had to do something to occupy my time, right? He had a bluray player and it had netflix on it. I just started to browse and by complete and happy accident I came across Sherlock. I watched the first episode and was hooked from the moment I started watching it. So while he sulked in his room, I watched the entire first and second series while I was there. Was it fate? Maybe. But if it wasn't for that trip, and the fact that I just couldn't with him, I might not have found Sherlock. So that's my "How did you find Sherlock?" story, crazy as it sounds! I should also note I became a Johnlock shipper during the first episode. At the end of ASiP when Sherlock is telling Lestrade who the shooter was and he turns and looks at John and he has that "oh, there you are! I've been looking for you everywhere!" look... instant ship!

So how did you guys com

Introductions Please... » Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum » October 21, 2013 10:10 pm

Hey everybody! My name is Neptune Centari. I am new to this forum, but I am certainly not new to Sherlock!

I'm not a forum vet, in fact, it's been years since I was last on a forum, but I really wanted to reach out and make contact with other Sherlock fans. I do not really have anyone in my everyday life who is as obsessed with Sherlock as I am, so I'm hoping to meet people who are just as obsessed as me to have good Sherlock conversations with. I can seriously TALK about some Sherlock! lol.

So I guess let me start off by telling y’all a little about myself. I’m 29 (almost 30, *cries*) and I live in South Carolina. I am a dedicated Sherlockian, a hardcore Johnlockian, a loyal Cumberbitch, and a Zombie Killer hobbyist. I am just coming out of an 8 year marriage and trying to start my life over, hopefully for the better. I am currently working on getting into college for the first time in my life and I really, really want to go into Film Production. I absolutely love video and audio editing, it has become my second biggest passion, and I want to do it for a living. I do have a YouTube channel dedicated to making Sherlock fan videos, and if you are so inclined you can check them out. My YouTube name is the same as here - Neptune Centari.

Sherlock is most definitely my biggest passion of all. I have never been more obsessed with anything in my life, ever. lol. I’ve even been told I should seek out professional help! lol. But hey, I love it. Sherlock is my happy place, and I think there are a lot worse things to be obsessed about, wouldn’t you agree?

I love making videos, watching videos, reading fanfics and anything else that has to do with Sherlock. My absolute favorite Sherlock fanfic is The Progress of Sherlock Holmes. The writing of that story and the podfic are nothing short of stunning. Plus it’s Johnlock, and if you haven’t already guessed I am a serious Johnlock shipper.

Well now, I think this introduction has gotten a bit long. I’ll go ahead
