I got wiring loose inside my head
I got books that I never, ever read
I got secrets in my garden shed
I got a scar where all my urges bled
I got people underneath my bed
I got a place where all my dreams are dead
Swim with me into your blackest eyes
Porcupine Tree, Blackest Eyes
Oh, I didn't know that song before. Just listened to it on YouTube. It's beautiful.

No wonder that John has finally stopped being surprised that the two of them are considered an item by anyone with eyes in their head. heh

That one is really wonderful. No matter if you imagine them to be friends or lovers or whatever, just the look on Sherlock's face, as if he is thinking, "My John, the most important person in the world." It's heartwarming.

Eagles, Hotel California.
And from the same song, the scary line:
"And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast."

"You've gone a million miles, how far did you get?
To that place where you can't remember and you can't forget."
(Bruce Springsteen, Secret Garden)
From Michael Jackson's "Scream": "Oh my god, can't believe what I saw as I turned on the tv this evening, I was disgusted, all the injustice, all the injustice."
Another Leonard Cohen favourite:
"I caught the darkness,
drinking from your cup.
I said, is this contagious?
You said, just drink it up."

I have thousands. At the moment, one of my favourites is this:
"When you've fallen on the highway
and you're lying in the rain,
and they ask you how you're doing
of course you'll say you can't complain."
(Leonard Cohen, Waiting for the miracle)

As for German songs, I really like the beginning of "Demo":
Weiß man, wie oft ein Herz brechen kann?
Wieviele Sinne hat der Wahn?
Lohnen sich Gefühle?
"Wie viele Tränen passen in einen Kanal?
Leben wir nochmal?
Warum wacht man auf?"
Very good song.

Painting on the original can only make it worse. Probably she is just faking. Just to come near.
That reminds me of something in the commentary on the DVDs where Benedict was complaining about the cold during filming and said that one woman, I think it was one of the actresses, was freezing so much that she practically collapsed in his arms ... Might have been a trick as well. If I ever get a chance to meet him, I hope it will be in an extremely hot summer or very cold winter, so I can just walk up to him and pretend to faint.

I think my room has to be reorganised. As the pictures in this thread are getting better and better, it really becomes necessary to put everything with edges and hard surfaces as far away as possible from the computer.

General Sherlock Discussion » What is your favourite episode? » November 2, 2012 6:50 pm |
My favourite episode is The Hounds of Baskerville. Not the best in terms of quality, but still my favourite. I have always loved horror and mystery films and it reminds me of the old X-Files series. I also like how it appears a bit "overdone", not taking itself too seriously. And it has so many funny and emotional moments.
