A nice line from a song I recently discovered:

"The riptide is pulling me under
I'm drifting, drifting away
Tomorrow the sun will be brighter
The water will rise and wash us away."

The Walkmen, "Red Moon"

You all nearly killed me with the pictures today. Here is the revenge.

... when your best friend tells you he has bought socks with weekday names on them (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday ...) and you think - Oh, nice, he has a sock index!

Good, I was beginning to miss him already. And ... *thud*

Yes, I "used" him for the story also but changed his name to "Vallefiori".

I read the novel ages ago and loved it. I'm really looking forward to the radio version.

Yes, very much at the moment. It's fun. Although Mrs Hudson wouldn't find funny what Sherlock is doing to her kitchen.

I've finished a rough draft. It's going to have three or four chapters and be completely crazy. But I still have to do the research for the cooking part and get the language and grammar right, that's going to take a while.

Would you mind if I also use the bunsen burner idea? It fits so perfectly into the story.

I'd choose bordeaux or purple, because that are my favourite colours. Would you take the one with the Union Jack or the black/white pic?

I can't decide at all. A dark blue shirt with the Union Jack version looks pretty. Or maybe a black one with the black and white version. Or ...

I'm seriously thinking about buying that as a T-shirt. I don't have a Sherlock shirt yet and this one is not too obvious, I could even wear it at work. But I can't decide which colour.

Those buttons look like they are in danger of popping off and taking out someone's eye to be honest!

Perhaps it is a secret weapon, like the ones James Bond has. Enemy gives you a threatening look - breathe in deeply - buttons pop off and take enemy's eyes out - problem solved, everybody happy.

Let me try if this little gif works:
