As a native English speaker--gay in reference to a woman generally just means a lesbian woman. Although it's not commonly said, a few tv shows and movies have used it, and you do hear it from time to time.

Someone mentioned (sorry, forgot who) that Sherlock could be telling people he is a sociopath because of the stigma of Asperger's. He may want people to fear him instead so he just let's people believe that.

Also, what if he had convinced himself that he was a sociopath, because he doesn't want to feel or care about anything? He's tried to make himself into some sort of deducing machine without any 'contaminants', and not wanting to feel anything/being afraid of feeling anything fits in with the more childish aspects of his character.

They're nanobots that convert any human--living or dead--to dalek. I think it was a security measure, or something. As to the experiments stopping, well, it's Doctor Who. Timelines almost never match up.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did "The Speckled Band," seeing as it is Moffat or Gatiss's (sorry, forgot which) favorite story, and they haven't even referenced that yet.

I look forward to seeing how the Ponds leave. It's Moffat's first time to write off companions, and my hope is that it'll be amazing

Homework...don't remind me...

Well, apart from Sherlock and school/homework stuff, I do a lot of music--mainly oboe, piano and voice. I'd like to say that I write, too, but I really don't have the time right now. Maybe I'll write a fanfic sometime soon...but that's Sherlock-related again, isn't it?

From what I know of Doctor Who and reading about Torchwood on the internet-- Torchwood is/was a tv show. I think it had 3 series. I was under the impression that Torchwood fell--that's what Jack said in the DW End of Time special--and there won't be any more episodes. I love Jack's character, though, and will definitely watch Torchwood when I have the time

My question is, if Sherlock is "pushed into a corner and ends up killing someone," will it affect him?

Who doesn't want the TARDIS?

It must've been so hard to keep the secret of Clara/Oswin/Jenna appearing in the first episode. I can't imagine how they managed it, with all of the premieres...really glad they did, though.

The out of character thing was said about two days after the episode aired; we've probably figured it out by now. It could be Sherlock calling John, however, IMO it was just Sherlock leaving his 'note', and I don't see a text working as well. Also, it's Moftiss's way of putting an emotional scene in. That scene wouldn't have worked nearly as well if no one had uttered a word.

No colds here yet, and it's still hot out, too Although we did get early dismissals from school because of the heat the past two days, which seems to be the only good thing about 30+ degree heat

Hope you get better soon, Davina!

We have to wait until spring for Parade's End, and even then it's only going to be on HBO Have fun watching it, though!

Lucky person/kitty I'm going to my grandparent's house today, and I really hope they have BBCA so I can see the premiere. Does anyone know if it will be on the BBCA website if I miss it?
