How long, prior to Nov 5th, did the carridge go 'missing' from between the train stations?
Long enough for it to sit in the siding whilst the bomb was assembled in it, or, did it have the bomb already in it whilst 'in service'?

Nope, totally credible. Everone who walks around with a bomb he himself can't disarm easily is an idiot.
Absolutely! But there was not going to be anybody round that bomb!!!!
It was started remotely; and one would assume, could be stopped remotely if necessary. (Though quite how the radio signal got to it so deep underground is still a mystery).
Also, why would the bomber bother with a 2+ minute countdown? If your miles away in a hotel room just press the button marked 'Go Bang'!

And I loved this! So adorable!
Is this tiny hat suposed to imply that Sherlock has a huge head?
In the dialogue it is referred to as being from a male because of its large size.

Easy to predict if you do your homework. Naturally John would come back as soon as he realized that he had been lured away. There was no need to chase after him.
But that only applies if the assasin knew that John had been lured away.

After watching TEH I still wonder this. Moriarty was so powerful then why did he sent ONLY 3 killers for this final act? And who was the observer that informed about if Sherlock had jumped or not? Then how can Holmes brothers ignored that person and kept acting to fool John?
We can see in the third explanation that Mycroft arranged to kill the killer right after but since TRF, I've noticed that the killer stopped aiming and put down the gun, which means somebody must have seen Sherlock falling and informed his accomplices about it.
Whether the third explanation is the truth or a joke, this still confuses me. Any idea?
(His voice said "8 so far" in my head, haha.)
John's assasin would have seen Sherlock fall and so would have informed the others if necessary.
However, how did the assasin know that John would decide to go to the Hospital at that point? Another hole in the Anderson theory?

A ball under the armpit does stop the pulse. I've used the effect many times in my professional life as an entertainer!
Try it!

I think we should all agree that the ONLY correct solution will be one that cannot have holes picked in it. Sherlock would simply not allow there to be any doubt or risk to its total success.
Anderson's one has got so many holes and 'what if' factors.
This thread alone has shown that, let alone all the other web-sites, forums and discussions zones which are ripping it apart.

I think for a John in shock this was enough. And, again, the camera offers us his perspective - for a second he can see a body on the pavement, then he is knocked down. If there wasn´t the dead body he had seen nothing. That had been a magic trick then.
It would have been far easier to set up, and more convincing, if John had been knocked down (exactly were he was anyway) which was before he could see far enough round to building to the point where he would naturally be looking for as where the body should have landed.Easier yes, but more convincing? John is clever and could have got doubts not having seen him on the pavement close to the fall.
But he did see him, covered in blood, when he finally got round to the point where he knew he had fallen.
In John's mind, being knocked over by the bike was little more than an unfortunat delay in him getting to where he knew he had to be.

No, the little building is quite long. We get John´s perspective clearly to be seen from the camera POV - he could see the body, but not the airbag.
I would not think that John would be stupid enough to to accept that the body would land in an area other than directly below where it fell from.I think for a John in shock this was enough. Hmmm... I suppose. I thought that if most of the makeup was done while he was lying down, why not all of it?
Plus, what about Mycroft? Again, if it was so simple to get rid of the snipers, it would have avoided the whole mess. It´s not about the makeup - Short before the bicycle "accident" John gets a glance of the lying corpse. Anyone else considering that the very title 'The Empty Hearse' could be a clue?
Anderson's theory involves a lookalike being in the coffin!

Has anybody yet looked at, or better still screen cap'd, the actors at the 'fan-club' meeting and the 'accomplices' at the final theory?
I'm still certain that the 'love trist' theory girl was key in the air-bag scene and there could have been others.
I know 'extras' are 'multi-use' but I don't think Moffat would make a mistake like that.
The Empty Hearse » There's something about Mary » January 1, 2014 11:53 pm |
Am I the only one who thought that 'Mary' was actually 'Kitty' (the reporter from s2e3) when we first saw her at the restaurant?
I couldn't think why Sherlock was so nice to her.
Take a look at some photo's of the actresses; Katherine Parkinson (Kitty) and Amanda Abbington (Mary)...They could be twin sisters!!!

The air bag would have been too slow to position and dispose of.
Quicker would have been an open backed lorry , full of citrus fruit to cushion the landing..........Lemonentry

be interesting to take a screen cap of the fans 'meeting room' and see how many of them formed the band of accomplices in Anderson's 'video' theory.

Don't have sreen cap apability, perhaps someone might just watch it through again (as if!) and check.

Couldn't be the truth because it shows one of the 'accomplices' (the girl on the corner) who was the 'fan' who came up with the Shirlock/Moriati love trist theory.
