Irene says that she is gay.
Then the phone goes off and she says, "I don't think so, do you?"

She's obviously talking about the question of Sherlock being gay.

I'm probably totally wrong because I don't own a smart-phone or use text messages, but is it possible that it is like an email service, or FB messages: all the messages in your account show up regardless of which device you are using?
