Sadly, not really. I can make it last for a week if I soak it in bleach, but I'm not sure that's worth it. I'm just going to take more photos, and then I'll do another different one next year!

I used a pattern, though I drew it onto the pumpkin free-hand, not using it at a stencil. I'm definitely not at the stage of being able to carve it free-hand yet.

It took about 4 hours, but it would have taken much less time if I'd had anything other than a kitchen knife and a chopstick to do it with. XD

I'm 20 year old Biomedical Sciences student, a long time Sherlock Holmes fan (I think I read the ACD books when I was about 8), compulsive tea-drinker and a Londoner born and bred. I started watching the series when it was 1st broadcast, and have been a fan ever since. I'd never found this forum before, and only happened across it because I was searching for like-minded people and something other than reading/beta-ing fanfiction to fill my fandom-y time before season 3! I don't have much experience with forums, so I'm a bit nervous, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon enough!
