Turns out in Nov, I will only be through to York for the day again.
Anyhow, Steeetcar:
apparently if you sat in the front row, you were showered with Paul's saliva- ha!
I have been rewatching Sherlock:
all I kept thinking was that Paul needs to see this, Andrew is totally amazing.

I was in York yesterday and managed to get to the Amnesty bookshop.
Chance I may be staying in York, for a few days in November.
To try and be on topic:
for the last 3 weeks, Andrew and Paul have been in New York at the same time...but I have seen no documented evidence of them managing to meet up.
Paul leaves this weekend: his Streetcar has received absolute rave reviews.
I mean Andrew's Vanya has done really well, but Paul has totally smashed it.

Clever me, actually remembered how to log in on my phone!
I haven't seen Paul's Streetcar...
but I took my daughter to see Andrew's Vanya and we both loved it.

Well | have since seen an interview with Andrew and he says it is a brilliant film and Paul is fantatstic in it...and maybe he knows better than me!
But of course the big news is that Andrew and Paul are both taking plays to ' just off Broadway' and they will be in New York at the same time.

I really wish I could come here with some good news...
sadly, my poor youngest cousin Charlie, is lost to us...

I realised afterwards of course, that I am part of the problem!
Let me explain.
I originally set up 'Google alerts', for any news stories regarding Benedict and Martin- when I first became part of the Sherlock fandom.
I later switched Martin for Andrew, as I became more interested in his career(no offence, Martin!).
I recently added Paul, as I was impressed by him in All of Us Strangers.
However, I may readdress that!
I haven't seen Gladiator II, just some of the trailers...but I confess I was left rather under impressed by what I saw of Paul.
Anyhow, point being:
obviously I am picking up on irksome news stories, more than others.

On that note:
and I realise he is not a Sherlockian...
but poor Paul.
His whole private life, being played out in the full glare of the public.
What kind of sicko spots a celeb couple and phones the tabloid press about it?!

Don't worry.
I think most social media suffers with spam.
I used to try and be smart and answer them(like the Facebook ones pretending to be Benedict's real private account!), usually rudely.
But yes, I try and ignore now.

Thought I had better check in, before I head off again...still find it difficult to access the forum via my phone.
Anyhow, mixed family news.
my wee grandson had to be circumcised, following persistent infections.  He found it all a bit traumatic, but has thankfully bounced back.
Mum is doing much better. She thankfully survived the short trial of carers.
My youngest cousin has just had a brain tumour removed.
he is at home.
But I am not entirely sure what the prospects are.

Just heard about Mark being conferred with this honour, I think from Leeds...
delighted for him and it is richly deserved.

Read and seen loads of interviews with them.
They are just really close friends and are very funny together.
But check out the Youtube footage of the red carpet at the Gladiator II premiere...
both so sweet and a total scream!

To be honest, by that time, we were already to move on...
poor Mum still struggling.
She just wants him back, you know, well...
but in reality he'd had enough and was ready to go.
I am glad he is at peace.

My new, current obsession and what do we call it?
Messcott?
Scottal?!
Watching The Gladiator II red carpet footage on loop and I just cannot stop laughing at it.
These two are a real double act.

My brother got me into this, while we were staying in Scarborough together.
I really like it.
I am continuing to watch it, now I'm back home.

Hi guys, that's me just back from Scarborough.
Sorry, still find it a bit of a trauma, attempting to access the forum on my phone!
I have something I wish to post on(oh actually, a couple of things!), but will do that later.
Dad's funeral was lovely and went really well.
So nice to see all of the family, but such a shame it's always for something so sad.

Hi guys, this is a bit of an odd one, so didn't really know where to put it.
I am one of the last few who still try and check in here now and then.
But I am away a lot, caring in a home with no wifi and I do find this forum more difficult on my phone.
I am actually still trying to contact the last remnants of family and we haven't made any kind of public statements yet.
But I sadly lost my father on Tuesday.
So I will be spending even more time than ever down in Scarborough, with Mum.
So, just to try and keep old friends in touch with my life...

I did look at the last few recent posts and yes @Liberty, to pick up from what you said...
well actually from my experience it seems more of a continued, negative attack on Sophie and from the usual suspects.
But yes, following pap pix I happened on of Benedict and his boys, it was then him and Emma Rad...
I dunno.
He's  a man, he has acknowledged his faults.
He seems well thought of in the industry.
I do know some fans who have had negative interactions.
But these days, all is perspective.

No, I think he was working at the film festival.
I am notoroius for not concentrating on what people are saying to me, but to be fair I was trying to work on the clues at the same time!
I am due to see my pal again next month.
When I do and if I remember, I'll ask her again exactly waht Steven was doing in Edinburgh..

They had originally been there for the film festival.
Because the Book Festival got to hear Steven was in town, they asked very last minute if he would hold an event, I think basically about his career,...
or maybe I have got that mixed up!
My Sherlockian pal,was telling me all this.,
Anyhow, he was originally booked for the film festival and then the book festival nabbed him as well!
They were standing outside the Caledonian Hotel, which was one of our clue spots.
They are so lovely with their fans.
They did try and help us and Steven told me about the real Lauriston Place being in Edinburgh!
