It's not so crazy, it's ACD canon.

I know that, of course. But I would never have expected that they would really do that! I wish I could have seen everyone's reaction to the costume. I'm sure it must have been priceless...

Oh my god, that was so good! Fat Mycroft - what a crazy but wonderful idea! And I really screamed when Andrew Scott appeared. I had hoped he would come back for the special. I love his impersonation of Moriarty!

Choosing Sherlock's mind palace for the special to take place in was a great idea and worked very well. I can't wait to watch it again, still so excited! The only thing that's making me sad: All the time we'll have to wait for season 4...

I'm hoping to see it in Hamm. Just sent mails to some of my friends if they want to come with me so I can order tickets tomorrow or the day after. Only thing that's worrying me is, that it's on a thursday and the screening will take 4 hours. Will be a hard friday, then... But I have to see this. I'm sure, he will be brillant.

Oh my god - my hands are still trembling...

I made it - I'm going to see Benedict! I ordered a fotoshoot and a talk! I'm so happy, I can't think properly...
This will be the most exciting weekend of my whole life!

Oh my God, where will it be? And when?

It's a cinema in Bochum (near my hometown in Germany) on April 16th...

Is there anything to find on the Website? I can't find anything. Do you know when the sale starts, Lilythiell?

EDIT - Found it already...

Cabin pressure is so unbelievably good - you really have to listen! It's so funny, and some phrases found their way into my normal life to use them whenever possible. It's brilliant!

Sounds interesting. But as I only have a standard ticket I won't be going to one of the parties.

I hope for Martin to be announced as a guest, too. And I would really love to see Amanda there, I like her so much. And Andrew... and... Hm... I think you're right, Lilythiell: The whole cast!

I'm still working on "The spire" for weeks now - using it each and every night to put me to sleep. I could listen to his voice for hours... It's a great performance! He really knows how to use his voice to create a character. Absolutely amazing!

Benedict can do much more than the arrogant, hyper intelligent type of guy. I cry every time I see Third star (nobody mentioned it here, so I have to). I was blown away by his performance in Frankenstein - both parts. He was so wonderful in Osage County though it was only a small role. And he adds so much humanity and vulnerabilty to Alan Turing an Khan... So I'm sure he will do a good performance as Dr. Strange!

I was amazed when I read about Rupert Graves - getting more and more excited!

I'm going with a good friend of mine (who never saw anything of the series, but she will do so with me to prepare her...). We bought the weekend ticket as saturday was already sold out. I'm really looking forward especially for the information about John's life as a soldier and the sets and props. I just want to take a glimpse behind the curtains of this show, maybe talk to some people and just have one or two nice days at the convention.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to try my luck for a fotoshoot ticket with Benedict. I can understand the thoughts and concerns about this fotoshoots some of you mentioned. But as I live in Germany and will not often have the opportunity to meet him in person on some event in the UK... I'm not sure if I can explain my thoughts about it properly, but let me try:
Benedict is an actor. PR is part of his job. If he does this on the red carpet or on an organised photoshoot - it's still part of his job. If he is so kind to sign something for a fan waiting at the red carpet or near a set, of course it's nice of him. It's something he personally choses to do. And on this occasions I think it's absolutely okay to ask him for an autograph or a foto. What I would never do is (and can't understand, how people can do this), is to disturb his privacy. Even if I met him somehow somewhere in the world - I would never go over and talk to him. First of all I wouldn't get a coherent sentence out of my mouth. But the important point is: He is a real person with a real life. We tend to forget this. We see him as a public person, and I'm pretty sure that some people just forget that. I made this experience with other fans of my favourite band. This is just not cool, it's rude and embarassing.

So the point is - if Benedict is at the convention and has agreed to fotoshoots and autographs, than I'm fine with that. It's work for him, and he get's paid for his work. I'm pretty sure he won't be there for 10 hours signing things and smiling for fotos. I guess

I was really excited to read that it's official now. I like all these movies. I'm sure Benedict will do a great job. And why not make a movie that gets this much attention? He's known for choosing his roles carefully. He knows what he does, and if this is what he wants to do: fine! And maybe some of his other projects will get more attention.

Benedict's Non-Sherlock Work » National Theatre "Live"- Frankenstein » November 28, 2014 8:31 am

I saw it yesterday with Benedict as Frankenstein, and I was really blown away! Unfortunately I missed the screening when he played the creature. I just hope there will be more screenings some time in the future. Even my boyfriend said it was an astounding performance - but by both of them. The screening was sold out, of course. The whole play was very well done (stage, light). The moments that were touching me the most were first: when the creature tells Elisabeth the most important thing his creator taught him: to lie. And the second: when Frankenstein tells his creature that he doesn't know what love is. It was so sad...

I just hope I get another chance to see BC as the creature, I'm sure he did an amazing performance.

On our way back home we were discussing the play a little. My boyfriend admitted that Benedict is a really extraordinary actor. He has seen some of his works now and begins to get really impressed by his performances. And it's not so easy to impress him. We agreed that working on stage in front of real audience must be so much more challenging. And not every actor can do this and bear a whole play like he and JLM did. Great work.

Thank you, too!
Yes, I realised how many German fans are here... Good to know! And I thought I was a little crazy because I love this series so much...
