1. What is your favorite word? – Integrity
2. What is your least favorite word? – Bromance – when did we stop having good friends?
3. What turns you on? – Lately it has been Benedict Cumberbatch.
4. What turns you off? – Pornographic art featuring any identifiable public person
5. What sound or noise do you love? – Bird song
6. What sound or noise do you hate? – City noises
7. What is your favorite curse word? – “Rack-a-frack-a Reindeer” or “Fiddlesticks”
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? – Engineering or architecture
9. What profession would you not like to do? – Volunteer coordinator for a good cause – I don’t like people and volunteers are the worst; they don’t take orders and they always think they know best.
10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates? – S/He would say, “Well, you got that one wrong, atheist.”  But I would like to hear her/him say, “Welcome, anyway.”

I am a retired computer programmer.  I wrote database applications for Community Mental Health Services for the State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.  I worked with the DSM-IV coding system and ICD9.  I think coding is a theme here.  More generally maybe it is logic.  With hospitality thrown in for good measure.

This is the first time I've ever participated in something like this.  I suspect there aren't many over the age of 60 here, right?  I'm 64.  I'm in Sequim, WA, USA which is a little out-of-the-way town in the Pacific Northwest.  I have all three seasons on DVD and have watched them all, including the commentaries, at least 10 time since January.  I am currently re-reading the original stories.  I was a big fan of the books when I was about 18.  I've always found brainy to be sexy.
