I do not agree with Mrs Keller's suggestion either, but I do think she has the right to state her opinion in a political debate. I don't know why that should make her a Nazi, a Herrenmensch or any of the other lovely terms that were used. Which, by the way, is not even an apt comparison as Nazis weren't especially keen to share their land and resources with brown-skinned people as far as I remember.

Well, that is how democracy works. You adhere to the majority decision even if you disagree with it. If you bail out as soon as you dislike what's been voted for, you can as well leave the group. The door is always open, I believe. And I for one can only say goodbye and good riddance to anyone who's only cashing in but refuses to pull their weight.

The EU you seem to question is the Europäische Union (European Union) of which Poland, Hungary and Tschechien (Czech Republic/Chechnia? no idea what the Engish spelling might be) are members. So when they sign a contract they can well be expected to fullfill it. And yes, I know everyone only likes the advantages that come with being an EU member (which no one is actually forced to become as far as I know) and likes to ditch the responsibilities that come with it.

Keller suggested measures that she thinks could and should be implemented in the EU - which everyone is free to do. She did not order anything and especially did not send orders to the nations in question as she has no authority to do so. What she has absolute authority to do is state her opinion, just like everyone else in the EU. If you think that makes her a Nazi than that says more about you than about her

I leave you to your opinions.

Excuse me, have you read this article correctly? I cannot believe so because of your rhetoric.

In 2015 the EU decided to welcome refugees within their borders. Now some East European nations refuse to do so despite having agreed to this contract. So, yes, under EU law they can and should be forced to adhere to the signed articles.

"Die EU-Kommission hat gegen Tschechien, Ungarn und Polen ein Verfahren wegen Verletzung des EU-Vertrags eingeleitet."
The EU Commission has started proceedings against Chechnia, Hungary and Poland due to violations of the EU contract.

Keller *suggested* to relocate greater groups of refugees - perhaps even whole villages - so they don't have to be alone and afraid in a foreign country as experience shows that refugees like to go where there are already countrymen of them.

"Wir brauchen ein gemeinsames Asylsystem, das für gleiche, gute Standards überall sorgt und eine solidarische Verteilung umsetzt“, fordert Keller.
"We need a system for granting asylum that works with the same good standards everywhere (within the EU) and is based on solidarity," Keller stipulates.

Schönen Gruß, ein Herrenmensch

I have seen them reusing lines I know from Sherlock (which I saw first) in "Coupling", "Jekyll" and "Doctor Who" so far. Same words, same intonation, even if spoken by another actor. It is a bit annoying, but probably human to quote yourself.

Absolutely! In my eyes they wasted one entire precious episode out of only three on fan wank. There's a difference between that and a clever nod of the head in our direction and for me they completely overdid it.

But with regard to the BFI incident: they set themselves up for it, I think, now that I've seen the episode. When they reference the fandom like that - even including a Sherlock/Jim reference! - they shouldn't wonder when a journalist like CM does the same. Inappropriate though it was I can now understand why she thought it would be okay.

I don't think it has entirely to do with Mary, if you watch closely you can see him re-watching the exact moment of the bonfire scene in which Sherlock pulls John out over and over again, and each time the "baddie" watches it the zoom gets closer and closer on Sherlock's face.

Yes, I noticed that. But he seems to have listened to *Mary's* anguished screams with relish, so I think he wanted to torture *her* by burning the man she intnded to marry. Then he zooms in on Sherlock, because *he* was the one to avert this, like "Aha! Who's this guy then? Perhaps I should pay him some attention...."

As for why John was attacked, I don't think it has to do with Sherlock, I think it's about Mary. Perhaps they're really going for a CAM/Gruner cross with Mary being his ex-mistress who got away with his little black book and he doesn't want her to marry John?

Yeah, but the question was not what are you most excited about seeing *in* the new series - there is already a thread for that, I believe - the question was "What are you most excited about in regard to the new series?", meaning fan reactions etc.

I'm currently re-reading "Erasing Sherlock" by Kelly Hale because I'm supposed to write a review for it for Doylockian as a guest blogger - but gosh, I'm so lazy at the moment! All I can do is stare at the screen of my laptop and click "refresh" for new Sherlock content.... :-(

Just got the following:

"Hello,
We have received new release date information related to the order you placed on July 08 2013 (Order# 204-4821541-8087567).
The items listed below will actually be dispatched sooner than we had originally expected based on the new release date:
"Sherlock - Complete Series 3 [DVD]"
    Previous estimated arrival date: January 29 2014 - January 30 2014
    New estimated arrival date: January 22 2014 - January 23 2014"

That means I will have my DVD set only ten days after the last ep has aired on BBC! How great is that?

And I have just gifted myself with a new TV set and blueray-player.

Anyone else happy to have their pre-order fullfilled earlier?

LOL - Very clever indeed! Could the dastardly Moriarty make The Purple Shirt of Sex explode - even from the grave?
