The Hobbit cast are still in New Zealand...I think they finish next month. Can't wait to see John's reaction to Sherlock when he reappears. Does anybody know what happens? I don't mind spoilers if you want to PM me

I would rather say he stops the experiment just at the right moment. He watches John all the time, using the phone and the camera, so he can observe John's reactions, but also intervene when it gets too much. And that's what he does in the end. If Sherlock was really cruel and careless, he would have left John to his own devices.

I shouldn't have watched the German version with the subtitles. I am still under the impression that they're practically husbands. I have to delete that from my mind somehow. It's doing weird things to my thoughts.

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement! Like Turk says to JD in Scrubs "Dude, we're a little married", I mean come on! Sherlock and John totally are!
