54 m-words left - the story is now 2025 words long. The last word I've used was "mirthless".

"mimicry" is really giving me a hard time!

He’s got a dog. We go to the pub on weekends. I’ve met his mum and dad …

… and his friends and all his family and I’ve no idea why I’m telling you this.

The last one to fall was "mistrust every so-calles magic trick". It needed its own paragraph.

Well, I need to let the whole chapter sink in and read it again later. Then it will be proof-read and corrected. In the meantime, you all need to make a decision:

This chapter goes hand in hand with the next one, which will unsurprisingly be post-Reichenbach from Sherlock's POV. BUT dramaturgically it will be more interesting to read Sherlock first, then John, because of the cross-references.
Of course I will send this chapter to everyone who does not want to wait, but I'm going to publish them the other way round. So please let me know if you want to get John's chaper right away or wait for Sherlock's, for which we will start collecting words later today or tomorrow!

The word-lists are on their way now via mail. Marry, good time to clear your mailbox!

That is a great list! I laughed about many things (masturbates only on mondays in may), but some were also incredible sad.
