Since nobody seems to have asked before...
What is your favourite piece from the Sherlock soundtrack?

Of course little main melody is great...
but apart from that I personally really love the tracks "Sherlocked" and "Prepared to do anything", both from the series 2 soundtrack.
The just put you right back into the Sherlock-mood.

I really like both of those, too. I think my absolute favorite, though, has to be the little plodding variation of Sherlock's theme that plays in "One More Miracle".

Hmm...really, I think mine would have to be "A Man Who Can". It actually is used in two different episodes (first part is in TGG, the second part of it is in THOB). I just like the way it goes soft and flat, the electric guitar plays the melody, and then the music just swells back with the cellos at the front. Then of course, the second part that's in THOB- the strings playing such a meloncholy melody.

In the second season, I had to add in "Sinnerman" myself (edited, of course) because I absolutely love that montage in TRF. Then "Blood on the Pavement"...because the simple drumbeat set against the melodic strings....then here comes the crying violins as John sees Sherlock covered in blood. Just perfect.

And I love the use of the Zimbalon throughout ^^ Gives the music a very otherworldly feel.

Yup, I have to describe the feelings of the instruments, lol.

A weird version. Played apparently to sound as if played on a music box/toybox. A bit creepy.

Could be nice if they used a toybox and suddenly the soundtrack appears. Maybe Sherlock could comment on it?
BTW, in The Musgrave Ritual the story starts with Holmes and Watson in 221b and the room is a mess. Watson apparently tried unsuccessfully to make Holmes pack things and trash papers. It ends with Holmes making Watson forget about it because he is curious about an old case. And Holmes distracts Watson and unpacks the toybox instead of packing things.
Very funny. Reminds me of the beginning of Hounds.

I want to be a film scorer, so when I found this discussion page just for the soundtrack I might have squeaked a little out of excitement. I don't study many television scores, but I absolutely adore the Sherlock music! I really couldn't narrow it down to just one song, but my absolute favorites are:
The Game Is On
War
SHERlocked
Status Symbols
Mind Palace and Solution
Prepared to do Anything
One More Miracle

I really like...well, all of them! But if I had to pick a few I would pick Taxi Chase, SHERlocked, One More Miracle, and the one in THoB at the end where everyone actaully sees the hound clearly. I can't remember it's name right now but hopefully it will come back to me.

SHERlocked is my favorite, favorite track. I've had it on repeat for the past couple days. It's possibly driving my spouse nuts. I find it to be so beautiful! With that being said, I love every track throughout the show. They're all beautifully done.

And Redbeard, that just captures the moment brilliantly, so so emotive.
