And the worried expression was perfect. I even liked the choice of John's eye color-- he has a peculiar dark blue hue to his eyes. Lovely work.

Seriously.  Loved it.  Aww... just want to give a hug.....  don't worry, John!  He's just in another country, for now!  Um. . . .  with a friend!

Lovely. And with the bridge t-shirt as well.

What the heck is that? Someone took Sherlock's head away and substituted James Bond instead. ???  How very strange.

Me too. I just looked at it again, and on 2nd look, I can't figure out if that's James Bond or some vampire standing there with John. I'd find it interesting to read what the artist was thinking-- her John is recognizable, but Sherlock has been changed for some reason.

I know!!  Isn't it?     I love how it's a cute picture if you DON'T know his background, and more endearing if you do...     Can just picture Ben friendly and teaching, and his odd friend Sherlock keeping to the side, wondering why the monks insist on curiously watching over his shoulder.

Also, re: the most recent pic....  find myself puzzled, too.   At first glance, I was 'cool, a vintage version of that pic!  Definitely captured John and the period clothing/hairstyles.  And....  Sherlock...?  Huh??'   Good, but still finding myself uncertainly confused with his face.   Although on second-glace noticing, I love how they also kept it 'accurate' by switching the smiley for a pock-marked 'VR'...   ;D

Wow....  very nice.   (S)he even portrayed Sherlock the way I imagine him going before his return, in such a realistically artistic way!  You know... despite his leaning towards crisp & clean, even he might be a bit worn/rugged by that point, -especially- if used in a very Sherlock way of hiding-in-plain-sight type disguise... hardly anyone might take notice of him walking down a street.  Even Moffat talked about that kind of disguise versus outright costumes, and would be so cool to see them use that a bit for him in hiding, when he comes back!  (although I know, sigh, I know... we've already seen pics of Ben tidied up and back to Sherlock's look)

The before-the-return pics are from the short film "Inseparable". It's amazing (and on YT).

Heck, even something like this is pretty realistic to Sherlock staying under radar like I imagine him doing.... and love the sketchy style, too:

Keeping along the same somber tone/mood as the last posts, I also love how this captures that, with the duo....
