My name is Lily.
My birthday is May 22nd.
I'm from Germany.
I study literature and philosophy at university.
I'm 5'4ft, I've got brown hair, three-coloured eyes and small hands.
I'm right-handed, a vegetarian, non-smoker, single, clumsy and insecure.
I hate it when people are ignorant and shallow and think they have the right to judge other people.
I love books and libraries and rain and chocolate and autumn and the sea.
I watch Doctor Who. The Tenth Doctor and Donna are my favorites.
I am completely addicted to Sherlock and I get extremely emotional over it.
I sometimes think that I am too obsessive when it comes to this show... but it makes me happy.

I'm intrigued by the three-coloured eyes. Can you elaborate?
Posted by Lily February 23, 2013 11:20 pm | #43 |
They look quite boring actually - I've got a brown ring around my iris and the rest is a mix between green and grey. Not the beautiful green-blue-grey kind, like Benedict has them.

Hmm, that resembles my mother's eyes. And mine, a little. Except fot the brown. Mine are gray-ish, blue-ish, green-ish with a bit of yellow. People say my eyes look like the sea.

All right, here we go:
My nick here is Schmiezi, a name invented by my husband when we were making fun of couples giving each other ridiculous petnames. My real name is Sabine, I'm female.
I'm German.
I'm right in the miggle of "age: 30-40".
I'm teaching German, Maths and English at a Hauptschule, which usually means not the brightest pupils in the world, but I love them.
I love cats, my husband loves hamsters, so we own two guinea pigs.
Besides Sherlock I'm totally into Start Trek, but currently I also watch Fringe, Game of Thrones and New Girl.
I always refused to have anything to do with stuff retated to Sherlock Holmes until we switched into Scandal by accident. So glad we did.
I've read the entire canon twice (after the switching incident).
I usually tell my pupils not to start every sencence with "I".
I read and write fanfic for Sherlock.
I love soccer, especially a certain "Fohlenelf".
I do kickboxing, but not very good, as I've started just recently.
I'm a big sister, hence my deep understanding for Mycroft.
I'm trying to learn Italian and can proudly announce that I have just reached the European B1 niveau.
We try to go to Italy regularly, usually to a little village in the Umbrian mountains.
I love to cook.
I hate cleaning the house.
I hate all kind of knitting, sewing, crocheting, probably because it's such a stereotypic thing for women to do. And because I'm not good at it.
I don't want to deal with dishonest people, but I'm having no problem at all with the honest but tactless ones (married one, so used to it).
When meeting new people, I'm usually a bit shy.

Is that why you have "The mind is the magic" in your signature?
Posted by Sparrow February 24, 2013 12:32 pm | #47 |
^Indeed. And you have "Get the point? Good. Let's dance." :D So a Janet fan? Or perhaps both? Otherwise you wouldn't have recognized the quote.

I'm a huge MJ fan. Not as obsessed anymore as I was in the 90s, but I still think he is (or was ) great. The quote I have in my sig is from Janet, but Michael used in one or two of his best performances, that's why I have it.

Ah this is so wonderfully fitting, now that I'm just listening to Thriller in the background. I also think that he was great.

I know it is. I'm not as obsessed as I was a while back either, but I love him equally much. He's the only one who's ever made it on my bedroom wall.

As a teenager I had so many posters of him that you could hardly see the walls anymore. I went to two concerts of the HIStory tour and listened to his music as often as I could. It was a great time and I'll never forget it.

Yeah, I'm just not that kind of person. One poster is about as much display of affection you'll ever get out of me. But you're so lucky you got to actually see him live. I wasn't old enough at the time.

Hello! I wanted to write something about myself too but I'm too shy and I don't know what to say.

Everyone saying hello to each other, how wonderful.
Hello.
My name is Jim Moriarty.
I enjoy planning murders and annoying Sherlock Holmes.
You can call me Mr Sex.
I enjoy reading Grimm's fairytales and the newspapers (pretty much the same thing, I know.)
I find missile plans and staying alive boring.
I hate people who are on the side of the angels.
Sherlock was my only distraction and now I'm back to playing with the ordinary people.
That's all for now.

Hello everyone!
I'm in my 20s, have two cats and sell used books for a living.
I mainly read non-fiction and I skip from book to book, so at any one time I may be ploughing through a dozen or more different books.
I left college to start a small business which is doing well. I figure I'd rather get paid to learn on a job than pay to learn at a desk.
For fun I enjoy going to museums and cemeteries, thrifting, writing and watching movies. I also sit on the computer and research random things for hours.
I've boycotted department stores for years, except for things like socks that shouldn't be bought used. At least 90% of my closet comes from thrift stores.
I can't drink much alcohol except at home because I will literally doze off wherever I'm sitting.

Ok, my turn.
My name is Justyna, but I've been using "Ginger" for a little while now. I live in Cracow, Poland and I'm 22.
I study at Jagiellonian University, american studies and cultural anthropology. I'm currently working in a cinema. In my free time... well, I don't have any free time.
I play piano and a little bit guitar, I like learning languages - except polish and english I speak spanish, russian and a little bit french. Next challenge - japanese ;) My studies and work takes almost all of my time.
I love everything britain or american or japanese - I have pretty varies interests.
Music make all the sense in the world to me. I'm mostly into alternative, progresive and symphonic rock, but I also love classical music. My other passion was always movies - a few years ago I dreamed of being a film critic. I've been a film reviewer for a few years now.
I enjoy traveling and visiting european big cities. Next step - USA, I hope. Before I started my studies I lived in a small flat in London for almost two years. That was pretty exciting experience, but I'm glad I came back home
I read a lot of books, I especially enjoy british and russian authors.
I love cats and I have a big, fat, red and lazy persian cat. The real Garfield.
What else... I'm an agnostic, I don't think much about religion, but I enjoy philozophizing about the existence and the meaning of life. I don't like politics, and I don't like polish politicians either. I'm a pacifist and freedom is the most important value for me.
I've heard that I can be a little arrogant and bigheaded, and I guess it's true. Well, we can't be perfect.
I like coffe (black, with a lot of sugar), whisky with coke and smoking cigarettes. I also like studing and the colour green.
I hate cooking and I suck at that. I don't really like eating either.
I have two older brothers - one of them is a lawyer and the other one is an IT specialist. They're both awesome. I also have a boyfriend - how he can stand me, nobody knows.
I'm not really into sports, the only one is capoeira, which I've been practising for almost three years now.
And that'd be all for now ;)

My favourite Character from Sherlock is.....*drumroll* The rabbit from Baskerville! *crickets*
Just kiding up above, I love Sherlock and John, sarcastic, funny, but if I had to choose....

Do you happen to play Mass Effect and Dragon Age? I mean you ARE on the Bioware social network :D It's good to find a gamer that doesn't just play "WOW"
I am a die hard Trekkie as well! :D It is BC performance as Khan in the new ST movie that has led me to Sherlock. The man is amazing and that voice! Mmmmmhmmm.
