Star Trek film crew is in the Bay Area this week! Mostly filming at Lawrence Livermore Lab
(about 25 mile east of San Francisco)

But there are beginning to be Benedict Cumberbatch sightings, including this pic from tumblr,
taken at a bar in San Francisco near the baseball stadium downtown. allegedly this was yesterday (Saturday night):
