$10 New Zealand coin will have Martin on it as Bilbo Baggins. Further information regrading the coins which will become legal tender in New Zealand can be found here:

Yes! I think it is a ploy by the NZ's to boost their tourism!

Definitely real though no Smaug ones yet - maybe for the second movie?

I bought quite a few during the world premiere, they are very nifty.. Bilbo coins and Lego, the man has it all ;)

My friend bought them just as I was meeting Martin Freeman in person in Wellington, so that was very funny!
