Martin is on Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4 today at 11.15 am (UK time).  Normally it's available after broadcast if you miss it.  Desert Island Discs is a long running programme where celebrities choose what music they would take if marooned on a desert island, and talk about their lives.  It's usually quite interesting, sometimes even if you've never heard of the celebrity!

Thanks, for reminding me.
I did see about this, yesterday.
I will be heading into Dundee to collect my daughter about 11.30, so I will pick it up on the car radio then.

This was fabulous, on so many levels...
Catch up if you can.
Martin and I have very similar culture, music and fashion tastes.

Glad to hear it was so good!  I haven't had a chance to listen uninterrupted yet, but I do like the music choices!  There's some more information here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/1DrsNKtThSbxZ20XSdjR4M1/eight-things-we-learned-from-martin-freemans-desert-island-discs

You have a real treat in store.
As usual, Martin says it right as it!
The 'moody prick'(sic- you'll get the reference!)went up in my estimation.

I finally managed to catch up with it!  It was very good - thoughtful and revealing.  I thought one of his quotes about Amanda, "I always knew I wasn't the best actor in the house" was very sweet.

Yes sadly some of the (younger) fan girls have picked up on the click bait headlines and think Martin was less than courteous about Amanda, which is just plain crap.
He has nothing but admiration and respect for her.

I missed the negativity, thankfully!  I thought he gave the impression that he respected and cared for Amanda.  I did see a headline about him saying it was difficult working on Sherlock when they split up, so maybe that was what the fans picked up on?  But there was no criticism of Amanda there.  I imagine that after having such fun working together previously, it must have been a bit difficult and poignant filming whilst going through a breakup.  I don't think I've ever read him saying a bad word about her.

They have both been entirely respectful, which must be difficult in the circumstances...
Mind you, there are other Sherlock headlines which are irritating me more at the moment!
