Yes, and how he looks different in every part - it's not just the hair and costume, but he seems to change his face a little too.

I was talking about this the other day with someone. With some actors, no matter what role they're in, I can still see the actor but with Benedict he completely becomes the character he is playing and in that moment I'm not thinking about any characters he has played previously or about Benedict himself, I only see the character he is currently portraying.

When my mum saw him on Jimmy Fallon she didn't recognize him right away because his face was relaxed because he wasn't in-character.

I had to edit my post and include this.

I didn't see your post right away but I appreciate the humour.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

I wonder, is he puffing his cheeks himself or have they filled something in them... again??

I saw a cute clip of him dancing while doing a night shoot, he's lovely!

If I'd known he was filming at UCL today I might have gone and had a look! Wonder if he'll be there tomorrow as well.

There are lots of lovely pics of Ben on Twitter from today!

I'd be grateful if anyone wants to post them here, I never go on twitter or tumblr!

There was also a video - sorry, no link - in which you could hear him speak. Fascinating how you recognise the voice but the intonation and accent are completely new again.

Exactly! When I started watching Sherlock I didn't even realise the actor was the same guy I had admired in Parade's End.

I'm really excited about The Current War, even more than I was about Doctor Strange.

Personally I'm glad how he changes... Benedict never reminds me of that one film I can't even mention; which always makes me physically ill to watch... which I think again shows his traits as an actor.
