This conversation, however, is reminding me of David Tennant talking about how there haven't been any Scottish Sherlock Holmes yet.

Maybe there was one, but maybe he meant that recently there hadn't been one? He also said he would have liked to, if I remember correctly. And when the person he was talking to told him Benedict had been given the role, Tennant said "Another posh" one.

Benedict and David are great pals.
David would make a good Sherlock, though.

For people abroad Sherlock is a British show... so no English, Scottish, Welsh ... whatsoever... flag.

Yes definitely, most of the filming in Wales by BBC Cymru, a producer/writer ist Scottish and the cast English ( most of them).

I don't want to fight about it, but 221B is in one country and all it's occupants are that nationality!
