It appears that Alan Rickman married his long-term partner Rima Horton. Unfortunately I only found German newspapers and I hope that it doesn't mean that it's a fib so feel free to post more confirmation.
Anyway big congrats, Sir Alan!

Hehe, well, it was about time, right?
They have been together since they have been, what, 19?

But I'm still not so sure, either, as someone only found it in BILD.

Germany's most important news agency, the Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa, also reports on it today, so I'd say it's definitely true.

When people who have been together for a long long time go ahead and make it legal I always wonder what spurred them.  Not that it's any of my business or that it matters in the long run.  I'm just curious.
As long as Mr. Rickman is happy.

Well, strictly speaking he was.

Solar, thanks for confirming.

tonnaree, I wonder a bit, too. Why not earlier? Why now?
But right, not my business.... Maybe it's the age. *shrugs*

Anyway, nice. I like it.

My first guess is usually some legal matter that would be easier if they married.

Exactly my thought.

Not usually, but in this case.

oh wow. cool.

I guess she isn't pregnant?!

It's also on Daily Mail and Mirrow when you go to google news. So all the "important" newspapers.
