Oh, good for you, veecee! :D
Yes, an excuse for ice cream is always appreciated... ;)  though I guess it won't be so funny not to be able to eat anything solid for the next days :/.

Oh no, you didn't sound heartless, Molly ;)

Thanks for the luck(s)!

Uh, just wanted to say that everything went well ...
Of course I'm in pain now, though, and everything tastes like blood. Anywaaay...

Actually the whole operation procedure was pretty exciting! I'm kinda happy now to have experienced how all that works with such a harmless operation so if I ever (god forbid!) have to get another operation, I won't be so scared... haha, if that makes any sense ;).

good  job sammy  I'm  glad it went well for you.

High  vet costs  are outrageous.  40  dollars  for a re check  (weight,  temp)   and 39  dollars  for  a  BP  check  (on  my  cat--  the same way they do it for humans!!)  plus  30  or  more dollars  for  the medicine   if  needed.  I  don't see why  vets  charge extra  for doing a little blood pressure check  on animals?

And WHY  do  doctors  have this policy  -for certain kinds of medicines you have to see your  primary  dr for that---?  I  gotta wait till july  23rd  to  call my  dr  again  to see if she can get me a refill on a medicine that I gotta have.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR  this is my rant for today.

Everyone needs their own GP or primary doctor, no matter how many specialists you many also need to consult. They are like 'home base' and are crucial in good health care.
Why? (and many people ask this)
Because a specialist is concerned about THEIR field of study, they may consider what else in going on with you but they are not usually fully conversant with the drugs that may be used, the treatments etc & nor can they afford to be.
By having one central 'home base' doctor who refers you to specialist & oversees what medicines you are taking, he can spot problems if Dr A's dosage of one medicine could counteract Dr B's prescribed treatment (this doesn't have to be another medicine, just another treatment).
Your 'home base' therefore needs to be consulted to ensure the medications & treatments you are having for ALL things are not going to be counter productive. They are like a 'Jack of all trades, but master of none' and VERY necessary for all people.
That's often why it is regulated that you must see your own GP for refills etc, so they can monitor what's going in & what the overall effects are.

Mycroft’s popularity doesn’t surprise me at all. He is, after all, incredibly beautiful, clever and well-dressed. And beautiful. Did I mention that?

I want to eat... something with consistency again. °-°
Something... that's not pureed. Maybe just a simple piece of meat. Yeah.

So, not a rant, more like a daydream!
It's going pretty well but I still can't properly eat, so.. that's annoying. :D

Err, sorry to be the bearer of scary news but I had my 2 bottom wisdom teeth out about 20 years ago, then had to go back 5 years ago and get 1 top one taken out.
How many did your dentist take out?

My pets go to the vets or the vet comes to them in the case of the horses if there is something wrong with them. The dogs have a health check annually when they have their vaccinations. With the horses it depends what is wrong as to whether I call a vet. Some people call the vet out at every little thing which is crazy. Never met a poor vet yet!

All four of  'em!
Yes, of course it could be that some day I need to get another tooth taken out, but I don't think it will ever happen again that I need four teeth removed at the same time - because of that the "once in life". ;)

Anyway, thanks for cheering! I can eat almost normally again now, yay.

I  had traintracks  when I was younger--on the day before  I was supposed to have gotten them off,  I  fell off of my bike,  and my teeth hit the road.   So--  I  had to have them  on  for another year or so!!   Boy  I  hated  them.   Had to give up rootbeer, too.

I had a brace with a plate, yuck, I don't think train tracks were even invented! The worst incident my daughter had when she had her train tracks is when she was jumping a pony and the pony's head and her mouth collided. Really not good.
